Our stay here was above our expectations. Absolutely gorgeous hotel and grounds with the French charm you are looking for. We used the pool and dined at the Michelin rated restaurant. Walking distance to many restaurants, bars and shops. It was also our base as we traveled to Arles, Nimes as well as the city of Avignon.

The hotel is expensive but worth it. Our room was amazing, large and clean with comfortable beds and seating area. The staff were really pleasant and helpful. The location is wonderful, close enough to get a taxi into Avignon but in a quiet village away from the mass tourism in the city. There are plenty of restaurants in the town as well as the hotel restaurant. We enjoyed walking around the village and discovering the ancient buildings, the castle and two monasteries. I highly recommend this hotel.

We were recommended this hotel when we told our agent we wanted to visit Avignon. A bit of hesitation to decide to stay there but we are so glad we did! It was our base to venture around Provence and zipping in and out of Villenueve for the day was so easy. The town itself was so quaint and beautiful. You won't regret staying there, and we'll be back!

Our relative who resides in town recommended the hotel and was spot on and then some! The staff could not have been more helpful, courteous, professional, and more than ready to extend themselves for us. We felt like we were their family. The establishment is gorgeous. The grounds and pool are beautiful and expansive and our room was spacious and very comfortable. The location could not be more convenient to get around a very walkable and beautiful town. Make it a point to stay there and also very easily access Avignon and other nearby places.

We were so impressed with the whole village! Only problem-finding the entrance to the hotel, but wonderful after that!

Just finished our road trip around France, and Le Prieure was by far the best property we encountered. Large and spacious room, excellent grounds, and impeccable customer service!

The Prieure is absolutely beautiful and perfect on all fronts. We were gifted this wonderful one night stay with a gastronomic meal and everything felt like a magical treat. We certainly rate the Prieure as one of the best experience ever and would recommend it as being a fantastic choice from Relais & Chateaux!

Le Prieure is a peaceful sanctuary in the center of the historic village, Villeneuve les Avignon. Walk through the immaculate country gardens, smell the scents of the flowers and instantly release the drive of the day. The room was well appointed, quiet, perfect for a 3 day stop to explore the area. The food in the restaurant is very good, and the setting, overlooking the gardens, very serene. Walk out the door directly into the quaint historic village of Villeneuve les Avignon, with it's own historical sites and great restaurants and wine bars. Le Prieure is a perfect place to stay while exploring the famous wine regions of the area plus the city of Avignon.
