High in the mountains (1600 meters) lies this magic chalet. Luxury cottage with sauna is an ideal place for couples.
High in the mountains lies the magic chalet, with its unique architecture of Velika planina with all the comforts of home.
Downstairs there is a small lobby to take off your shoes. From lobby you enter in to the main room with kitchenette and large dining table. In the niche there is a bunk bed. Upstairs there is a dormitory with 6 mattresses. Downstairs there is also storage and bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. And of course - sauna.
Outside is also woodshed.
The neighborhood is tranquile, there is a fantastic view of Kamnik Alps and Ljubljana.
What to do? Velika planina is amazing during summer. First of all - you must visit the herdsmen’s settlement. There is also museum of shepards life and Snow Mary chapel. The settlement is revived every June, when herdsmen return to the settlement and tend to their cattle until September. They are delighted to invite you to taste their dairy products or try a typical herdsmen’s lunch; sour milk and hard-boiled corn mush.
If you like hiking - may be one day trip to the highest mountains in Kamnisko - Savinjske Alpe (climbing to Planjavameters) or for younger children visit a meadow village Dol (one hour walking downhil and than walking to mountain Konj 1803 meters (2 hours walking).
The intact Nature: you should visit Veternica and Dovja Griča caves.Veternica cave is the most popular natural site of interest on Velika planina. It is assembled of the caves Mala Jama and Velika Veternica, which came into existence when the roof caved in as the result of rock disintegration. The cave Velika veternica is more popular. It is known for its patches of snow, which remain in the cave also during the더 보기
