Cocogiri Island Resort Maldives

Sono stata alle Maldive altre 4 volte ma questa vacanza qui è stata davvero speciale… il mare è meraviglioso la barriera corallina è così vicina e puoi vedere pesci colorati e coralli ! L immersione con gli squali nutrice e’ stato davvero emozionante! E soprattutto il gioiello di questo resort e’ Tina ! Lei è una donna speciale che ha reso questa vacanza per me mia figlia e mia mamma indimenticabile! E stata sempre attenta ai nostri bisogni e con tanta gentilezza e premura! Grazie Tina ti voglio bene!

Siamo appena tornati da questa bellissima vacanza che dire...è stata un esperienza MERAVIGLIOSA Il resort è un gioiello,la gente che lavora in questa struttura è fantastica,tutti nel loro piccolo contribuiscono a farla funzionare al meglio. Ho potuto constatare di persona che tutti gli aspetti positivi riportati nelle precedenti recensioni (cibo,camere,pulizia,diving,barriera corallina,spiaggia...ecc ecc) sono veritieri..vorrei solo sottolineare che il valore aggiunto di questo resort è l'amore con cui tutto viene svolto. La direttrice Tina con grande professionalità si rende sempre molto disponibile ad esaudire richieste ed esigenza dei clienti.Si dimostra molto attenta preoccupandosi quotidianamente della soddisfazione degli ospiti e che tutto sia di loro gradimento. A chi cerca tranquillità,discrezione,buon cibo,pulizia,relax il COCOGIRI e sicuramente la soluzione perfetta. Concludo ringraziando tutti,per aver reso la nostra vacanza UNICA.

We've just returned from spending 11 nights on this beautiful island. We had the best time and will definitely return! The island is very small and very personal. Tina the manager is a lovely lady and will do what she can to make your holiday special. She is always around and makes an effort to speak to everyone and see how their day has been. All the staff were lovely, the bar men, waiters, chefs, cleaners, reception are a credit to the island. It is the perfect place to just relax and unwind and enjoy your surroundings. If you are looking for a party island then this is not the place for you. It has one bar and one restaurant and live music twice a week. The rooms are very spacious with high ceilings, aircon, wifi, tv, minibar (payable), safe, kettle etc. We got to experience both as we had a complimentary beach villa on arrival until our overwater villa was ready. They are both lovely and have supplies of shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, body lotion and amenities. We thought the food variety was excellent for such a small island. I am a very fussy eater and could always find something to eat. The chef at the cooking station will always cook you up some rice, pasta, noodles etc without the spices if you prefer something plain. I was celebrating my 60th birthday whilst there and they gave me a lovely cake and decorated the bed for when we returned to our room. Any issues with the room, maintenance, housekeeping were dealt with very promptly. We took the speedboat transfer to the island which was nice but a little choppy. We did wait over an hour for the transfer but that was because we had to wait for some people to arrive on another flight. We did one excursion with Meridis to swim with the nurse sharks and the turtles. The staff were so helpful with my partner as he has a sight problem. He was a bit apprehensive as he was worried he would bump into the sharks. As soon as he got in the water with the guide he felt so comfortable. They helped him to get right up next to them and he said it was a fantastic experience he will never forget. Many thanks to all the dive crew, you are very kind. We really don't have any negatives but if we had to say anything then on our last day we had new people in the water villa next to us. They had children with them and unfortunately the young boy kept jumping off the decking and shouting every time he jumped. What had been a lovely quiet place just to sit listening to the waves then became more of an adventure park with shouting and splashing around. This is not a negative against the island but more the behaviour of these guests. We had a wonderful time. The island is beautiful and clean. We loved the snorkelling and seeing lots of different fish. Tina is a star and such a kind soul. We can't wait to return!

This island/resort is a gem, pure relaxation with gorgeous views all around, amazing reef and fantastic food. I would go back to Cocogiri in a heartbeat! This is mostly thanks to the exceptional care of the Cocogiri team, mainly Tina, the manager, always making sure the guests were happy. My daughter loved chatting to her everyday and Tina made her feel like a little princess! The waiters, cleaners, bar and reception staff were all amazing and very kind and friendly. Thanks you all for making this holiday truly special! We stayed in a beach villa first, with lovely views. We then upgraded to a water villa with a jacuzzi and finally a water villa with a pool jacuzzi, which was truly special. Hopefully we can go back soon, miss Cocogiri very much! Paradise on earth!

Incredible island with friendly staff. Recommended for those looking for just pure relaxation. The staff was super nice starting with Tina, the resort manager. The masseuses were competent The guys at the diving center were helpful and the excursions we did with them were magnificent. For snorkelers, the island offers a magnificent house reef. Overall, there is no shortage of water-related activities, indeed! The gym could be improved: the equipment needs renovation. The yoga mats should be added. As the focus of the island is to have its guests relaxed, I recommend including additional relaxation-related activities (e.g. yoga sessions) This, in my opinion, would increase the package of activities that, excluding water activities, could be improved. We recommend the resort as the island is wonderful, very friendly staff. Daily non-water activities and evening (after dinner) activities to be improved. In total, the experience was great and we will return, hopefully soon! Thank you Cocogiri!

Cocogiri island resort was one of the best experiences we have ever had! The island was amazing!!! Tina, the Manager of the resort was super nice and so lovely and welcoming!!! Our Malaysian snorkelling guide gave us the snorkelling experience that was out of the world!! He showed us another world down the ocean which we will forever cherish! Jetski guide was amazing !!! Food was awesome!! We got amazing Indian vegetarian food!! All staff were amazing!! Super welcoming!! We would definitely recommend Cocogiri to everyone who love and respect the ocean!! È stata la mia prima volta alle Maldive e sono stata piacevolmente stupita da questo bellissimo resort! Il posto è piccolo, ma nuovo, quindi le camere sono tenute molto bene e la pulizia avviene ogni giorno e in pochissimo tempo. Sono molto attenti alla cura e al servizio del cliente, protagonista in assoluto. Abbiamo provato sia la Water Villa che la Beach Villa e sono una più bella dell’altra! La barriera corallina è viva, piena di pesci, piccoli squali di barriera e altri animali che girano attorno ogni giorno: fare snorkelling qui è stato un piacere e davvero molto bello! Il cibo è buono e varia spesso; unico consiglio che mi sento di dare è di posizionare un mini frigo o congelatore nell’area buffet per mantenere i dolci sempre freschi. Le escursioni sono davvero belle anche se forse alcune hanno prezzi un po’ alti, ma ne valgono la pena! Durante il soggiorno Tina, la manager del resort, mi ha aiutato ad organizzare una cena a lume di candela sulla spiaggia e mi ha fatto scegliere il menù secondo le mie preferenze. Inoltre ha organizzato anche una piccola sorpresa in camera con addobbi per il compleanno. Sempre pronta a dare una mano con grande professionalità in tutto! Grazie mille Tina! Per chi è alla ricerca di un piccolo resort per rilassarsi, godersi un mare meraviglioso e fare qualche escursione, raccomando fortemente Cocogiri! Grazie di tutto!

This is our 3rd time to visit Maldives. Here is our honest review comparing to the 2 other resort which we stayed before. Pros - beautiful house reef with a lot of colorful fish and sea turtle - nice view from the water villa - comfortable bed - shower temperature and water pressure are stable - cozy island - staffs at dive center are friendly and super kind - incredible excursions We joined the shark tour and shipwreck tour, both of them are so beautiful, more than words can say. This is one of the best experience in my life. Cons - slow wifi. You can not even download the emails. If you are thinking to watch you tube, it is impossible. - all inclusive plan covers less drinks. - bad taste food. Only 1 buffet restaurant which has poor variations. Food tastes just like the frozen food in the dormitory. Nothing was delicious in 5days. - transfer waiting time is too long depends on your flight. In our case from airport to resort they made us wait 4 hours. From resort to airport, we arrived 3 hours earlier than we desired. - no hospitality. We complained about the waiting time to the manager but she did not listen to us at all. Moreover , never apologized, and made some excuses. This is not the professional way of service, or the manner which we expect for the resort. (We don’t mind it if this is the motel or hostel) - cleaning is not enough in common area. In the lobby desk there is a dust. When I touched the desk there was a lot of dust in my hand. Overall, I don’t recommend this resort unless you are super interested in the shark tour and shipwreck tour. We were pretty satisfied by the experience at the excursions and we thank to the kindness of the staff at Dive center. On the other hand, if I imagine in case the weather is bad and cannot join the excision or swim around house reef, there is nothing to enjoy there.

Siamo stati una settimana in questo resort magnifico, siamo stati davvero bene. Abbiamo mangiato cibo molto buono, fresco e molto vario. Tanti tipi di piatti, frutta, dolci per ogni palato. Certamente speziato. Diversi tipi di primi, di secondi e i cuochi sempre pronti a soddisfare ogni richiesta. Camerieri molto gentili e cordiali. Tina, la manager, cordiale, dolce e sempre disponibile per ogni richiesta, é davvero una persona molto attenta a soddisfare le esigenze di ogni cliente. Ti ringraziamo Tina di cuore. Abbiamo già nostalgia. Per il 50 esimo compleanno ci hanno preparato una torta per festeggiare e anche decorato il letto con scritta e disegno. Vi siamo grati, é stato memorabile. Camera sulla spiaggia molto comoda, bella, nuova, con bagno maldiviano con doccia all esterno. Il resort é circondato da una bellissima barriera corallina in cui di possono ammirare pesci tropicali e squaletti. Abbismo fatto il tour snorkling with sharks and turtles. Veramente magnifico, i ragazzi dello staff in barca, molto gentili, disponibili e mai invadenti. Grazie ad Irshad che ha reso il nostro snorkling piacevole e sereno, scendendo in acqua con noi. Devo dire grazie, é stata una vacanza rilassante e non vediamo l ora di ritornare in questo posto meraviglioso e direi anche magico.
