Beautiful hotel and Spa at the beachfront for active family vacation, offering all type sports and entertainment. The Scott bike and North surf center equipment offering the latest products to test and rent, as well some coaching and guiding. We stayed in a bungalow which works well for a family. We enjoyed it a lot🙋‍♂️

We stayed here over the weekend of L’Etape Portugal 2023 as we were riding in the event. It was the perfect base and we loved everything about the hotel. All of the staff made us feel so welcome and were so friendly. Particular mention must go to the Bike Center team, who accommodated all of our requirements for the race with the bike rentals, set-up and details. Nothing was a problem! This a wonderful place to stay to enjoy the beach, sports, weather and also to easily explore Viana do Castelo. We will be back! 👍😃🇵🇹

The last thing you expect in the morning is to find the bad attitude of the breakfast manager, Miss Cristina For everything else, the hotel is good. Some details are missing, such as a coffee maker with coffee in the rooms. The reception staff is very friendly.

We were part of a VBT bike tour through Spain and Portugal and had stayed at some wonderful hotels with great service, accommodations, and reasonable food and drink prices. While this hotel has a great location, clean comfortable rooms, it’s wait service was lacking and the prices of drinks could compete with and exceed those of Manhattan NY. It was also difficult to get a menu or a menu on line with pricing.

We were there for only one night and were unable to take advantage of all they offered. However, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the dining quite good with excellent service, and the location worked well for us.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever been to. The staff are friendly and facilities are wonderful. We did the bike package, Ricardo and his colleagues made sure that we were well equipped and always enjoying the rides. He took us around the region, it was great to visit beyond the hotel!

This might be the best hotel you ever go to - or not - it all depends on what you're after. For me, the combination didn't quite work. On the positive side, staff were professional, friendly and very, very helpful. They couldn't do more and were great to engage with. The hotel itself is in a really good location - just minutes from a wonderful beach - and the rooms are spacious and well equipped; ours had a large balcony overlooking the pine woods behind with a distant view of the sea and the constant chatter of birdsong. The hotel has a lot of services - there is a reasonable spa and gym as well as a waterports centre and cafe on the beach. So far so good. Unfortunately the hotel didn't work for us because of two things: significant numbers of both large groups and young families. It fundamentally changes the dynamic and atmosphere of a place. It was almost impossible to get a table in the restaurant in the evening because the large groups meant it was full. This would be fine except to get to another restaurant you then have to go into town which is a 10 euro taxi ride each way and impacts on your experience. You have to plan every meal a few days beforehand at least. If you are lucky enough to get in the restaurant, be ready for high noise levels because you are surrounded by large tables of groups of people. It is not that they are loud individually, but collectively it's a noisy space. Fine for a quick bowl of pasta or a burger, but not a place to have an intimate or cosy chat. The families raise another question - what is the leisure space and spa for? I have never been in any spa where children under 14 are allowed. Not so here. On one morning, the indoor pool was filled with 3 young families (the age restriction is 3. These were younger but no-one polices it) and babies rendering the relaxing, accoustic wellbeing music entirely pointless. It advertises itself as a spa, but the parents were teaching their children how to swim. This is entirely what I would do as a young parent, but if I'd just been to a yoga class and sauna and was looking forward to a nice leisurely swim, a parent and toddler swim class is not what I would want. I think it's a question of what the Hotel wants to be. It has made no attempt to restrict or modify access or create discreet areas that would appeal to different customers. So at the moment, the vibe is definitely upmarket Centre Parks: out-doorsy, spacious, noisy, family focused. I would definitely recommend it for a family and a large active group. But if you are a couple looking for a relaxing and intimate stay, you will do better looking elsewhere.

Lovely hotel in the middle of the pine woods and close to the idylic sandy cove with perfect conditions for water sports. The hotel is eco friendly and welcoming sports or spa enthusiasts. All the walls are coverd with wood, lots of other natural materials, boardwalks among the bungalows, no plastic containers nor bottles at the breakfast, etc. The room was spacious, quiet, with lots of natural light. Bathroom was equiped with all amanities I need,wifi and TV worked well. The breakfast is buffet styl plus you can order eggs. The restaurant is lovely with a terrace and views to the forrest. There is also an outdoor pool close. Dont forget to visit the spa center with lots of options and a pool. The personnel was super atentive, speaking good English. There is a good sport shop in the basement, but you can also rent equipment for surfing, cycling etc.

Top spot!!! 👌👌 The hotel to stay on a visit to Portugal, in particular for the ones o love sport and nature. Very good facilities, very nice environment indoor and outdoor and excelente food. To repeat many times in the future.
