컴포트 인 발 도르(Comfort Inn Val d'Or)

I've liked that my room was ready by 3pm and got the full respected service.

Needs some revamping. Carpets in room look old and not cleaned in a while. Hair dryer old. Not very private can hear people in adjacent t room coughing.

We had ants in our room on the side table and floor and I requested another room and I was told there was none available, I told them I am not sleeping in an ant infested room so the guy gave me a room with one bed and I had my son n nephew with me. It had a small sofa so that’s where my nephew slept.

Washroom lightbulb burnt, called front desk, no effort to change it, had no lights for 3 days in the washroom, used my own flashlight to see. Asked front desk if they can reactivate my key card, she told me she couldn’t, I said “I was able to use my key yesterday”. She says “it won’t work, that room is condemn” then I asked her “then why did you put me there”. She says “had no choice”. I won’t be staying there again.

We had two rooms. One room the door card reader did not work and the front desk had to come and let us in every time we left the room! They would not give us another room. The second room had a clogged bathtub drain. This hotel needs work! Will not stay there again.

I checked in and when I got to the room, it was not clean.

Was blood and urine on the toilet seat and bowl, I asked to change room and they said no we will have to wait in the lobby for the cleaner to clean it up. Had to ask for a different room again because I was not waiting around in the lobby late at night and tired. Finally they gave us an another room that the manager inspected personally, the toilet had poop stains and there was hair on the floor and bath/shower. Was not asking for another room and just went to bed. Never going to this hotel again. Not to mention the cards for the room keys never worked in neither room we got I had to ask the manager to unlock my room door everytime.

Room was ok… I kill 2 littles spider in the washroom. It was dirty on the ground (like food or coffe) outside of the hotel next to the entrance.

Nice place and good breakfast
