마피아 키불리니 로지(Mafia Kivulini Lodge)

Nice resort with large comfortable cabines, beautiful garden, very friendly staff and great food. We had a couple of rainy days and were very grateful to have space to spread out and use the large veranda. We had both breakfast and dinner and there was always a good variety and the food was excellent. We were diving with Mafia Island Divers and the car was there in minutes to drop us off or pick us up. Frank and his team were very welcoming and made it a memorable stay

We spent 2 nights at Mafia Kivulini Lodge and we would have liked to stay more. The first night was New Year's Eve and we had a very pleasant dinner under the stars, before the Lodge staff drove us to the nearby beach where we found fireplaces and music. The accomodation are beautiful and very confortable, the food very good. Breakfast was very rich, with special mention to fresh fruit and cinnamon muffins. Dinner was also well prepared and very good. The manager, Frank, has always been very attentive, present and discreet and helped us with our excursions, transfers and all our other needs. All the staff very professional and friendly, definitely a place to recommend.

Loved everything about Mafia Kivulini, we were treated so well from start to finish. The staff were so friendly and Frank and Ally always took time out of their busy day to speak to us and ask about our day. Happy was always happy and had a lovely welcoming friendly smile for us as did all the team. She made our table look special for dinner and nothing was too much of a problem. The meals were all amazing. breakfast we had to tell them not to bring so much as there was so many cakes the first day, along with fruit, eggs, toast etc. We had dinner in the evening it was always 3 lovely courses and quite big portions too we were always full. The drinks were very reasonably priced. It was always spotlessly clean in the rooms and the public areas. The rooms are very spacious with good air con. Lots of wardrobe space and bathroom spacious to which they also supplied shower gel and shampoo. The gardens and grounds are lovely and very well kept too. There are only a few rooms but that is what we loved about it. There was always someone there to take us to the dive school when we wanted to go and that was a free service. We were genuinely so sad to leave and wouldn't hesitate to return again in the future or recommend. There is nothing to do around the area but they would run you somewhere local if you needed to go but we were happy just eating in the hotel and just relaxing after diving so it was perfect for us.

We've spent 2 weeks at Kivulini and had a wonderful time. Ali, Frank, Dee and everyone on the staff made absolutely sure we'd be taken care of. The communication prior to arrival was done through Frank and was excellent. Ali, the owner, always took the time to sit down for a few minutes and ask about our day, regardless of how long his day was. We very much appreciated that. Dee is an excellent cook and offered us alternatives whenever we didn't eat something off the dinner menu. The garden of Kivulini is an absolute joy to be in. The hotel grounds, sourrounded by huge trees, are so beautiful and well maintained! They provide an excellent source of peacefulness and help one to disconnect. The hotel isn't located by the beach but the staff always had a car or tuktuk ready to take us to the dive center, which is only a 2min car ride away. Same for the pick-up: the staff at Mafia Island Diving called the hotel and within minutes, they were there to pick us up. Free of charge, of course. Flawless! I'm sure we will be back :-)

Such a lovely place to stay, really friendly and welcoming staff, delicious (and plentiful) food in the restaurant and very flexible meal times! Rooms are very comfortable and have good aircon and mosquito nets. The pool area is great to relax around as is the bar restaurant area. WiFi is only available around the bar / restaurant/ reception area but has a good signal. The drivers are very helpful in dropping off and picking up from the beach too. You will get a very warm welcome when you stay here and it feels very friendly and homely. I would definitely stay here again! Asante sana for a great stay!

great lodge, great staff, great food. I only stayed at Kivulini for 2 nights, but I was very impressed with the lodge and facilities. It was my second time to Mafia, but this stay was much nicer. The rooms are a/c, good mosquito nets, and clean. Everything is in the room to make it enjoyable. While it's not on the beach, it has a nice pool and the staff have a vehicle on stand-by to take guests to the beach at a moment's notice. Similarly, they'll return to the beach for pick-up and transfer back to the lodge in no time. I never had to wait more than 2 minutes for the driver to get me. I was there for diving and had to be at the dive center early. Breakfast is from 7:30, so the kitchen prepared breakfast to go one day and I had an early breakfast at the hotel the second day. Anything you need - Kivulini staff will take care of you. I know where I'm staying again next time.

Great place to stay! Rooms are comfortable and well served, food is DELICIOUS and if you're a fisherman, well you're in the best place in Mafia! The staff is really competent, they know what they do! Their equipment is great, the boat is the best! The lodge is in a nice location, not far from the ocean nor the village if you're curious to have a walk. definitely recommended

excellent lodge. Personnel au top, amabilité, service parfait, cuisine excellente. Petits déjeuners copieux et de bonne qualité. Les chambres sont spacieuses et la literie parfaite. Que du bonheur ce lieu.

Nous avons passé 7 jours dans ce lodge sur Mafia Island ( zanzibar ) : je recommande pour sa localisation , ses chambres confortables avec grande terrasse privative, sa piscine , et sa situation près de notre centre de plongee. Le personnel est parfait, le petit déjeuner et le dîner ont toujours été très bons et variés.
