호텔 우데왈라(Hotell Uddewalla)

We booked two rooms for ourselves and our two teenaged daughters for three nights. The hotel was lovely and charming, the staff was delightful and remembered little details about our family throughout our stay. The breakfast bar was simply wonderful and we looked forward to it each morning. There was such a variety of options for breakfast (including gluten-free hardtack, which was good for me), and the food was all authentic to Sweden. Additionally, breakfast was available until 10 am so we were able to sleep in if we wanted. The rooms and bathrooms are small, true, but not any smaller than other rooms in other Swedish hotels - hotel rooms in Sweden are not like the ones in America and I actually appreciate it because who needs a huge room unless you are spending your time on vacation in your hotel room all day. And the rooms are not tiny; there’s plenty of room to move around. It’s just that they are not ridiculously huge (which would be unnecessary anyway). The rooms are clean and tidy and there is a TV. There is a combined body wash/shampoo in the shower, and a hairdryer and a fan in the room. There’s no AC, as most Swedish hotels don’t have AC, but you don’t need it - Sweden’s summers are mild and you can open the windows at night and it’s still relatively quiet at this hotel. Also there are blackout drapes. Directly next to the hotel is a second hand shop that is wonderful; we highly recommend stopping in there. You can walk to restaurants and a grocery store (Willy’s) and Udevalla is a good central town to stay in if you want to do day trips to other towns (we visited Gothenburg, Lysekil, Hillared, Alingsäs, and Fiskebackskil while staying at the hotel). Nice «old fashioned» hotel between the railway station and the city center, both a few minutes walk away. Hotel is «closed» until 15.00 hrs when check-in starts, but you can leave your luggage if arriving before. Nice room with comfy beds, no AC but a fan is avaliable in the closet. Small bath with shower. Nice breakfast included in the room rate. Friendly staff.

The style is nice. There is a lot of decoration with a maritime touch.

Har lyckligtvis funnit denna pärla i Uddevalla. Vid varje tillfälle jag varit i stan i tjänsten det senaste året har jag bott över här. Bart och Claudia driver ett charmigt och personligt hotell och möter dig alltid med service i toppklass. På Hotell Uddewalla har jag fått känna mig som hemma med bekvämligheten av ett hotell. Rekommendrar detta hotell varmt!

Hyggeligt ældre hotel for den ikke kræsende 😉 det har charme skæve gulve og blød senge gratis kaffe og kager under opholdet ok morgenmad super betjening havde 5 overnatninger ville helt sikkert komme igen

Kom til hotellet med prolaps og store smerter. Møtte resepsjonisten som ordnet handicap rom til oss, som hadde en veldig god justerbar seng. Fikk da også egen parkering rett ved rommet. Var tilpasset inngang til rullestol brukere, samme med badet. Kort avstand fra rom til der vi spiste frokost. Hotellet og de som jobber der fortjener all ros de kan få👏 Overnattet 2 netter👏(ga beskjed om at vi kunne bytte rom dersom det kom noen som hadde større behov for rommet enn meg)

Bedre blir det ikke! Nært sentrum, topp frokost, topp renhold og nydelig interiør i hele hotellet
