As someone who travels 300+ days a year and who stays in Marriott properties primarily, I have certain expectations about the brand. This property fell short in several areas; I will not stay here again. -Location is convenient for Tupelo. -The room was comfortable, clean and the WiFi was good. -COVID-era practices of not offering daily room refresh still in place. -The shower was horrible. They installed the soap dispensers widthwise versus lengthwise which makes the narrow shower more narrow. The water pressure in the shower was horrible and the shower head, with its unchangeable head and 8 flows of water was not a good shower experience. -The food credit for guests with status was not communicated, not convenient and just clumsy all together. 2 days in a row there was an issue just trying to use the $10 voucher. Employees would rather tell you what they cannot do versus what they can do. -One employee, Nicholas, was excellent and provided great guest-centric service. Based on my experience, I will not stay here again, which is too bad as I travel to Tupelo 4-6 times a year on business.
