We were disappointed in our stay. The walls in the bathroom were dirty and usual amenities that one can get in other hotels, even less expensive ones, were missing. The ice machines were not working, There were no extra towels or bedding and when we called the front desk for some we hung up after being on hold for 10 minutes. The guest parking was up several levels and on the opposite side of the hotel than the rooms, so getting to our room was a long walk.
At 11:30 pm there was a fire alarm and a recording telling us to exit the building using the stairs. We and other guests did so, but once outside there was no direction given by any staff. The guests decided to go back into the lobby as the fire department hadn't even arrived. We all stood and sat in the lobby and never received any direction from staff. In fact, they continued to check in a new guest and ignored all of us standing in the lobby. Another staff finally arrived and guests started to walk back to the elevators, but we were never given an all clear. Finally the fire department arrived and was told that a staff member had walked the building and they were not needed. Thankfully, they came back in to assess the situation and determined that all was ok. Still no information was given to the group at all. We all had to ask for ourselves if we could go back to our rooms.
