We were personally fetched by Mr. Kim from the front desk because we dropped off in the wrong train station (Omitsu). It should have been Sakakibara-Onsenguchi station, where “Cocopa shuttles” are typically requested. Glad there was a telephone booth at Omitsu station so we called the hotel as soon as possible. Mr. Kim’s English is very good, and he’s very helpful. Everything else was a breeze, it was a great "change of scenery” coming from the busy streets of Osaka. Not many people during our stay as it wasn’t peak season. Quite hot since it was also summer (mid-September). Shuttles had to be requested over the phone all the time, and it’s quite challenging for non-Japanese speakers like us. The food from the restaurant was super good, we tried authentic grilled Matsusaka beef on our first night. Good thing we had our handy translator so we used it all the time especially in the front desk and the restaurant. The onsen WAS AMAZING! Very classic and chic, sort of like we were transported to another time. I would gladly go back. People were very friendly as well as the hotel goers. Not a golf person but perhaps we’d like to try golf when we go back here. Overall, the resort is pretty impressive. Besides the distance from the stations, it’s really a 9/10. A place to relax and enjoy the quiet countryside of Mie Prefecture.
