Had a lovely time at Don Pablo, second visit to the site previously stayed at Don Marco. Large spacious room on 9th floor (1906) good side view of the sea and pool. All-inclusive food, I find its lovely at this hotel. Great selection of food for everyone. Can also have all-inclusive food at the pool bar which I thought was a great alternative for table service rather than buffet. Great location right on the beach and close to the many restaurants. Pool area had no problem getting a sun bed this time of year. Pool was cold to get in, not heated. But plenty of pools and jacuzzis to choose from. Friendly staff always happy to help and had a great service from anyone we spoke to. I had a great birthday surprised organised by my boyfriend with the hotel of balloons and champagne. Nice touch that the hotel offered this! Entertainment was good! We especially enjoyed the Il Divo night! Variety and plenty of seating this time of year to watch the shows. Negatives : No kettle in room ( not sure why?? Thought this was common in hotels to have a kettle) No kettle meant no tea bags Floor 9 I think the WiFi was a bit weak. TV is fully Spanish channels. Managed to cast phone for Netflix once but then had trouble doing it again. Realise in the end that I had to go into the foyer to try and re-connect back to the cast and this seemed to work.

My parents have arrived at this lovely beachfront Melia hotel today. Email contact prior to travel was great, with speedy responses from Carlos in the Guest Experience department.. he helped me arrange a wonderful surprise anniversary treat for my parents’ arrival to the room, which they were delighted with. The hotel also allowed earlier check-in as soon as a room became available which was very much appreciated. I’m sure my parents will have a wonderful stay and will be well looked after, first impressions have been great! Thanks again Melia Sol Timor and Carlos for all your help! Love Melia Hotels! We arrived room small but comfortable cleaning excellent then four days into our holiday a group of teenagers and twenty something boys arrived for a football academy they had adults with them .at 4 in the morning as they returned from night out they shouted banged on doors and it was very disturbing. We complained to reception and they said you can move rooms but why should we move and these people weren't just on our floor they were throughout the hotel the boys left and another group arrived for the football academy these guys were just as noisy then our last night having to get up early for our flight they started shouting at 3am and stopped about 4.30 we will not return to this hotel as we didn't go away to feel stressed and waiting for the noise to start in the middle of the night

We spent 3 nights at this hotel. I booked through last minute.com. It is a big hotel and I thought it would be quiet during the winter season, but not. It was so busy, full with Spanish pensioners, footballers and tourists from mainly UK and Germany. The room was basic and more like 3* hotel and defo not 4*. Just 2 glasses and one chair, old telephone, no kettle and coffee/tea essentials, not spakley clean, however towels changed every day and room cleaned every morning. The staff were very helpful. The restaurant was the busiest area, sometimes chaotic, however the staff were very quick cleaning the tables. Food was average, there were a few bits we liked, the rest was soggy, not tasty and not that delicious we expected from a Spanish food. We managed to get enough and not being hungry, but defo could be much better. The pools have been closed, so don’t expect to have a soak in. All and all we got what we paid for given the point that not many hotels were open in area during this time of the year. It was a bargain deal , so we are happy at the end.
