Are these photographs from your rooms !!!!! truth hurts I know what I experienced water dripping through the ceilings horrible damp smells fungus you need to have a experience manager to deal with this because standards are disgraceful,

Hotel was amazing, room was very clean and had everything you could possibly need there. Hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We made a use of hot tub and swimming pool which was definitely a great addition to everything else. Breakfast was great too. I cannot fault anything, so definitely recommend this place for a lovely stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

This was our 3rd visit, but the first under the current owners. Everything was superb. The garden with pool and hot tub is the 'jewel in the crown'. Great room, very clean, comfortable and with all facilities. Excellent quality breakfast. Lovely hosts, very friendly and helpful, and very pleasant bar/lounge area. Private car park, and very handy location, although, it is up a hill. Roll on visit number 4.

The hotel was superb, owners very friendly, nothing too much trouble. Hotel is spotless. Bar area cozy and friendly, even served us an ice-cream in the evening 😁. Pool area lovely. Lovely breakfast, all staff very polite. Can't recommend this hotel enough.

Amazing hotel!! If you are visiting area and can afford that bit more, then choose this place. You will NOT be disappointed!! Family run business and they were lovely!! Pool awesome and they have a hot tub!! We loved it!!

Depressing grubby rundown, the owner Brett Powis can't take any critisim of his run down hotel, I can only think he doesn't visit the place and see for himself. I don't know where his eyes are, it would take very little to tidy and clean the outside area where people sit outside sports bar. I'd expect for the price of the drinks to be able to sit in nice surroundings. If I was Brett Powis I'd feel a little embarrassed, he obviously has a big chip on his shoulder and is very defensive when people criticise his grubby budget hotel. One good point I can make, is the carvery was very nice on the Sunday evening.

Very nice, welcoming hotel, enjoyed our stay no issues. Owner did his best to help us out due to train strike.Everyone was pleasant, kind and helpful.The hotel is conveniently located close to the beach, pier, restaurants and town centre.Both my wife and I would highly recommend a stay at this lovely hotel.

We haven’t been back here for a while but it’s still as gorgeous as ever. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Lots of guests we spoke to have come back year after year so something is right! Very warm welcome. Everyone is pleasant and John is always on the go and eager to please. We will be back next year! Thank you 😀

Me and my husband stayed here for four nights at the end of July. After reading the five star reviews on here we were really looking forward to it and we certainly were not disappointed. Someone had written a one star review but straight away we could tell it was fake so ignored it. We arrived at the hotel at 130pm and were greeted by Nicki i who was so friendly and welcoming and even said our room was ready, which, after a four hour drive was lovely to know. Especially as it says check-in not until 3pm. Bonus. Nikki answered all of our questions regarding Torquay and even persevered with looking up the bus time table for us even when we could tell she was busy. The pool area is lovely and the hot tub a lovely bonus when the weather wasn't so kind. John showed us how to use it and also bought drinks out to us. Once we had finished it was thoroughly cleaned for the next guests use. The hotel conservatory which overlooks the pool area was very relaxing at night. It had a lovely ambience with mood lighting and background music. Lovely to relax in with a drink or two after a busy day out and about. John and Nicki were always happy chat to guests and made sure we had everything we needed. John even sent a fan to the room upon request. This was our second stay in Torquay but first at this little gem. We will definitely stay here again when we return in the future. Another one star review has gone on this site and I know that it is definitely fake and that they have never stepped foot through the door so ignore these trolls. Dispite the poor weather we had during our stay this hotel definitely made our break away alot brighter. Many thanks to John Nicki and their team 😊
