I stayed in a basement room in August. The entire basement floor smelled musty, including my room. The air conditioning unit was filthy and only contributed to the musty smell. Chat support was useless - I reported the issue and they assured me they would clean it, but nothing happened (I think the AC needs a pretty thorough clean, not just a wipe over). Ditto when requesting a partial refund - promises to investigate, but no follow through. Don't bother staying with Sonder, on account of cleanliness and nonexistent customer care.
