캐피톨 플라자 호텔 앤드 컨벤션 센터 - 토피카(Hotel Topeka at City Center)

Hotel Topeka at City Center was just as I expected and how it was depicted online when I was booking the room. The staff were knowledgeable, courteous, professional although this was a business trip if and when my wife and I come here again for pleasure this hotel will be our choice.

The experience of this hotel was good in some ways and bad in others. The room was nice and big but there was hair all over the bathroom floor sink and bathtub. And then there was hair all over the bedding on the sheets. My granddaughter found old half eaten doggy biscuits under the bed. The breakfast was good but not worth the money $12 for breakfast per person and there wasn't a big variety and there wasn't anything that was freshly prepared. There wasn't a big variety of food for $12 per person plus tax

I wish the bar area was open throughout the day. We were there for my husbands departure ceremony for Military and it would have been nice to hang around with some of the other people going down at the bar. But nothing was open most of the time we were there.

I intentionally stayed at this hotel because I was an exhibitor at the convention center, you used to be able to walk indoors back and forth through a back door. They had it locked and I had to walk outside in drizzly weather. The only reason I stayed here was the acess and convince. The hotel blammed it on the convention staff, but I asked everyday, you would of thought the hotel would of called and asked them to unlock the door.

The staff was amazing and it was very quiet which I really appreciate. There was no house keeping that I could see at all. Something had been spilled outside the elevators on the 5th floor and was there the whole week. The room had peeling wallpaper and part of the bathroom counter was coming off. I was told not to walk around in the area because it was unsafe. Hopefully it can be fixed up because it seems like it was a nice place.

Liked that rooms were spacious and facility clean. But i think it needs to update and refresh the rooms

Good stay. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Room was comfortable and gym had everything I needed. One suggestion, serve lunch/dinner at your restaurant/bar. We hit a snowstorm and getting back into the car to get food would have been daunting. However, good workaround, we had doordash deliver food right to the hotel bar. One more mention, you may see a couple other reviews that mention bed bugs.. Give me a break! Don't fall for that. Disgruntled guests are suggesting that within their reviews to push futures customers away. And, unfortunately, it works. Nobody wants bed bugs. I found this hotel be very clean with NO bed bugs. Again, don't fall for that fake news.

I checked in at 8:00om, couldn't get a room until 12:30am because they were still cleaning rooms. They should have hired a cleaning service since they knew a big event was happening.

There was a blood stain on the bed It made me sick seeing it other than that it was a good hotel
