Great views and rooms with special character, in amount trees in the garden. Wonderful service.

The best place to stay in Sipi Falls, with really impressive views of the highest fall around. Sam (the general manager) and his team are really nice and will make you feel at home for sure. Just make sure that you book for your Sipi Falls activities with Moses or any other guide directly advised by Sam (and no any other guide that comes directly to you) in order to make the most out of your visit to Sipi.

We have been to Sipi multiple times over the years. Have never stayed here and would definitely not recommend it. We were 2 families with kids. I had booked 2 suites. When we arrived, there were multiple staff members hanging out in the outdoor dining room/reception area but no one came to greet us. I have never had a hospitality experience like that in Uganda. I went to the reception desk and 2 staff members looked confused when I told them I was there to check in. It was clear they were not expecting us and had no record of our reservation. Wifi was broken and cell service was poor but I managed to pull up our reservation to counter their suggestion that maybe I had booked at their hotel in Mbale town. Then it became clear that, not only had they not expected us nor have our rooms ready, but that they actually do not even have 2 suites on the property. We eventually got that sorted and settled on their 1 suite and another banda (1 twin/1 double bed). When I suggested that we had been misled and overpaid for 2 suites, I was told that all rooms are the same price- which is certainly not true based on this website. Later in the evening, we ordered dinner at their restaurant. They have an extensive menu but the food took more than 2 hours to arrive, which was quite frustrating. We pre-ordered breakfast for the following morning, as we had to depart quite early, and this was served 30 minutes later than we had asked for. All in all, quite a disappoin**ent.

This location & views were absolutely amazing!! We would highly recommend it for the value. The only thing we would say is that they need to fix the shower so it flows better & it consistently has HOT water.

All in all the lodge was a nice place to stay, but because of the following reasons, we didn't had a very good time: - unfortunatly it was incredibly loud, as there was another lodge directly neighbouring Sipi Falls Lodge, which was playing loud music from evening till the night directly next to our banda. - the breakfast was except the coffee really good, but the dinner was terrrible: unwashed dirty salad without dressing, most of the fruits or vegtables weren't availbe and the soup we had, was not eatable.

Probably one of the most wonderful, charming locations one can imagine. Best spot in east Uganda. And with fantastic, friendly staff. They are in the process of upgrading their rooms, which will make the place excellent value for money.

I stayed 2 nights at the Sipi Falls Lodge (which was apparently previously called the Sipi Falls Resort). The view of Sipi Falls is perfect from the grass terrace at the front of the lodge and that is one of the main reasons for coming to this guesthouse. The guesthouse itself is pretty average but the quality of the accommodation is not what it is all about so don't hold your breath. My room was large but a bit minimal. There was a big bed with mosquito net, a strange little annex with sink and unplugged mini-fridge that is probably intended as a kitchen but completely unequipped except for running water, and a large bathroom. The floor in the main room was concrete with tiles in the bathroom. The bedroom also had a couple of cane chairs and coffee table. The bathroom had a geyser that worked well but was switched on from outside the room which is a bit awkward first thing in the morning. There was no shower curtain or enclosure around the shower box but a shower curtain covered the window. The floor of the shower was very slippery but much less so wearing the flip flops provided. There was no closet, just a few pegs on the wall and the wooden deck out front had an unplumbed, conventional bath set in it which was not an issue but pretty weird. The lodge has no internet. The staff were reasonably helpful and I appreciated the hot water bottles provided each night. The restaurant served plain food without much choice but it was fine for a couple of nights. My only real complaint was lack of cheap accommodation for drivers. My driver had to pay full price which was pretty poor considering that they were not full and most lodges provide discounted rooms for Uganda drivers/guides. The Sipi Falls Lodge is a reasonable choice if you want a superlative view of the falls and don't mind average accommodation and services.
