Great location, nice room and a good restaurant.

The room lived up to the photos, large enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. The hotel had a great 'log cabin' theme with lots of wood and a real fire in the lounge. Ive stayed in a few 4 stars and this is one of the best. The restaurant was great and staff very helpful. Especially George who made it extra special for us.

Great hotel in a wonderful location, close to skiing and center of Tignes le Lac, friendly and helpful staff.

Room was a plus; cosy with lots of storage space and a comfortable bed, nice mountain view. The ski-in ski-out was also really good. The food (breakfast and dinner) was a disappoin**ent; not tasty, bland, not creative, often not at right temperature (too cold) and no variety in breakfast offerings, overall quality of food was rather low. The welness area was small with a dirty jacuzzi and a cold outside pool. The service in the main restaurant was sometimes really poor. Overall unfortunately not a 4 star experience.

Very well located, fantastic access to ski lifts, great SPA with 3 well heated saunas, nice rooms but average breakfasts (low variety of warm dishes, no eggs a la carte etc.)

A last minute booking to Tignes, and wanting a hotel close to the slopes and with a pool this was perfect. Parking at the hotel was €20 per night. The rooms are abit of a maze to find, especially if you’re in B block. You need to switch floors and elevators! First day we were struggling to get to the right part of the hotel. Rooms were really spacious, great view of the mountain. Plenty of storage space. Breakfast was good. Didn’t have to queue or wait, food was plentiful and overall a very good selection. Staff all very nice and friendly. I Only small annoyance that for 3 days the table outside our room seemed to be a dumping ground for other guests plates, glasses and left over food. For a 4* hotel, this should have been cleared immediately. Don’t expect to keep returning every afternoon to see more and more crockery dumped.

I had a lovely week at the Montana in Tignes. The hotel is really well situated for skiing in ski out especially on the Almes run so if you are a beginner to intermediate it’s really good and really handy. Stayed in room 512 which a great view on the resort and the pool. Swimming pool was lovely really enjoyed a dip with the kids after being on the slopes all day, the hotel itself is looking a little bit tired. I don’t think it would take much to update it and make it even better than it is now. I would return in the future but would probably prefer to stay somewhere a little bit modern and up to date. Ps sledges, the hotel have some and the boys loved sledging at night right by the hotel. Was great fun!

Sadly this hotel has gone downhill since my last visit perhaps some 5 + years ago. The breakfast selection was large, but the hot food was not hot ever, eggs were sadly beyond the chefs ability somehow…scrambled eggs were cold wet mush..the fried eggs were still watery and cold too…First night arrival food was poor, so much so I changed the restaurant selection the rest of the week. That said we did in there twice more and it was good food on both occasions. The carpet I think in the hallway on the second floor Had a sour smell…not what I’d expect for the high price I paid. Room was nice, the twin bed set up I’d asked for was not prepared for us on night one, I had to await to night two to have this rectified. Bar area was nice and staff in hotel were all good. The specialist restaurants doing the fondues etc were first class.. prepare to be full…

Great staff, pool could be a few degrees warmer and hot tub. Other than that everything was perfect. All the staff in dining room, front desk, bar, were very accommodating and kind. Steaks were very rare for me and the rest of the ski group.
