City Stay Tiberias

This is not really an hotel as such. There is no reception but as long as they know when you are arriving, someone will be available to let you in and show you the ropes. My room was en-suite with a reasonably comfortable bed. Although clean, some rather suspicious looking stains hadn't quite washed out of the sheets and the towels and curtains were a bit threadbare. The floor is advertised on the hotel site as "parquet" but is actually lino with a sort of wood pattern printed on it. Probably easier to keep clean than carpet but not wood, nevertheless. Once you are there, you will find them very friendly a helpful. Even for the one night that I stayed there, there was a bottle of wine, a fruit basket and a couple of large mineral water bottles in the small fridge. There is also a kettle and stuff for making tea and coffee. Breakfast is served at another hotel, about 10 minutes walk away, near the lake (Kineret). I can't comment on the breakfast as I had to leave early so didn't try it. Good fast free wi-fi. Rooms have a/c and satellite TV.

Die Villa liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Zentrum und zum Seeufer. Es verfügt über einen kostenlosen Parkplatz hinter dem Haus und kann ein wenig schwer zu finden sein. In zwei Minuten ist man im Zentrum an den Restaurants und in fünf Minuten am Seeufer. Die zahlreichen Strände um den See sind mit dem Auto in fünf bis 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Diese sind jedoch teilweise kostenpflichtig. Die Zimmer sind im schlichten Weiß eingerichtet und wirken sauber und gepflegt. Das Badezimmer ist vielleicht ein wenig klein und verfügt über einen Duschbereich. Mit den Knien stößt man vom WC aus ans Waschbecken, wenn man ein wenig größer ist. W-LAN ist kostenfrei. Positiv sind der Obstkorb und der Wein, den man als Gast geschenkt bekommt. Zudem ist der Eigentümer immer bemüht - wenn auch nicht immer anwesend - mit Rat und Tat und dabei möglichst unkompliziert zur Seite zu stehen. Auf WhatsAp Nachrichten wurde bei Fragen immer schnell geantwortet. Kleine Punktabzüge gibt es für die etwas zu laute Klimaanlage und dass der Fernseher nicht richtig funktioniert hat. Frühstück gibt es in der Villa nicht, man hat aber ein Abkommen mit einem nahe gelegenen Boutique-Hotel, das in fünf Minuten entfernt unmittelbar am Seeufer liegt. Das Frühstück dort mit Blick auf den See war absolut erstklassig! Insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt und sehr zu empfehlen!
