Warm reception on arrival. Made to feel very special. Beautiful setting. Peaceful. Highly recommended. Lovely to have a section of beach for resort users. Kids loved the pool and swimming in the sea. Fresh sea food is amazing with the local spices. Staff were very helpful with any food allergies.

The morning yoga classes were excellent. Unni is a wonderful teacher he adapted each session to meet the needs of the group and his explanations of the poses were really helpful. The setting right next to the beach was beautiful with the sounds of the waves and birds. I would recommend anyone staying here to try the yoga class even if you’re a complete beginner Ummi will guide you through the session.

The stay was excellent. This place has wonderful sea view. And full of greenery. The private beach is one of the best in India. Totally recommend this place for a peaceful serene holiday. Also they have a wonderful spa. They offer amazing range of therapies. Dr Greeshma and Hima made my stay wonderful. The entire staff is great!! Everyone should definitely come here!!

Niramayaa is a wonderful resort located by the sea, yet in the midst of greenery. it has ***y wellness treatments which are really good. 'Yoga by sea' is a unique experience with waves for company.our instructor Unni Sir took us through the class with great set of exercises and meditation practices.He also told exercises for specific pains and aches and suggested lifestyle changes for better health. i highly recommend this place for leisure and relaxation and wellness treatments. While you are there don't miss the yoga and meditation by the sea. My stay was very comfortable, memorable and all the staff were very supportive. I would love to return soon for another stay in this beautiful resort.

We booked a stay during the Diwali week, and arrived very late in the night owing to a delayed flight. Our room looked nothing like the pictures we saw, so we requested for a change. One entire day was spent coordinating the shift from one room to the next, thankfully the room was much better. There’s only one small restaurant, where the service is painfully slow, and veg options for me were very limited though my family enjoyed the non veg food. The pool was overrun by people who wouldn’t bother to shower before entering. The beach is unsafe unless you are an expert swimmer as a lot of erosion has happened due to port construction activity nearby, which means the beach slope is very steep. The sights of cranes, drilling noise and pollution due to the construction aren’t what you expect at a place like this. The spa is good, but even there the adjoining room was used by the therapists to hang out and chat loudly completely disregarding that therapy was going on in the next room, and even after pointing out it didn’t stop. There’s constant noise from vehicles coming to the property. Please don’t book a stay here if peace and quiet is what you seek.

Just returned from and amazing 12 nights stay at Niraamaya Resort and Spa, Surya Samudra. I stayed in a Heritage Classic villa and was so delighted with my accommodation - peaceful, spacious and very comfortable facilities and had its own outside deck which was fabulous for relaxing on. Room was exceptionally clean and Housekeeping did a great job of servicing every day. Thank you Julit, Sreekesh and Vijit V. The team could not do enough for me and any request was immediately taken care of. The food and menu catered to all tastes and Chef was more than happy to tailor any special dietary requests, everything was so healthy and fresh. Special shout to to all the restaurant team who made my stay: Jobin, Abishek, Nubin, Swamy, Leo, Samson and Shiva. They really worked so hard and spoiled me rotten. I highly recommend you book the services of one of the hotel drivers. I honestly cannot tell you how fabulous my driver Akshay was. So knowledgeable, polite and courteous. I felt so safe with him at the wheel negotiating the busy roads and volume of traffic. He will take you to so ***y of the amazing sites in the region and at a very reasonable cost. A real gem. Lastly, I had several Spa treatments and my therapist Deepu was a master of Ayurvedic massage which i just loved and also recommend you book some Yoga sessions with Yoga Master Unni, so patient and helpful. Cannot wait to return.

We stayed in Rock Garden category rooms 6 & 8 from 29 to 31 March 2024. Hotel property and it's location is excellent. You feel a very beautiful, scenic and green environment around you. Hotel has a private beach and a swimming pool. Room is equipped with all amenities but it's size is very large. The large size of the room is a challenge to the airconditioner for the quick cooling. No comfortable sittings are available in the room. There are total 5 chairs but none of these are comfortable. Resort has a spa and wellness centre. We used the services of SPA and found it good. Masseurs ***n was excellent in his work. We encountered problems with the services at restaurant of the hotel. Services are very slow and staff is callous. You keep calling them but either they will not listen or (if they have taken your order) you will get your order very late. Like, at breakfast we ordered for Paratha, plain dosa and green tea. For 30 - 35 minutes, no action and finally when we started questioning, all the dishes arrived on our table immediately but all were either luke warm or cold. It means our dishes were ready but staff didn't care to bring these to our table. It is worth mentioning that restaurant was not very crowded and there were only 10 - 12 guests. I think the onus is on the poor administration of the hotel. In our 2 days stay we also faced several similar issues in the room services. I think senior ***agement has poor control on the junior staff.

This is my second stay at Niraamaya Retreats and once again it did not disappoint! My mother and I travelled from the UK for a weeks break and we did not want to leave! The retreat is truly a haven – serene, tranquil set in the thick of untouched nature. The atmosphere and surroundings are uniquely beautiful and retain the traditional Keralan style. Having travelled to Kovalam for the third time now and stayed in other major 5* resorts in the area I can confidently say Niraamaya outshines all of them. Niraamaya’s boutique style makes it an intimate and tranquil setting that is not overrun with lots of guests making it perfect to relax and rejuvenate. Niraamaya is committed to each guests individuals experience and works hard to provide a personalised approach to the guest experience. They made an early check in possible for us so we could rest, moved our room to somewhere more accessible for my mother and went over and above throughout to make sure we were looked after in every was – especially at mealtimes. I have stayed at ***y hotels internationally and am yet to receive the welcome and kindness I have seen at Niraamaya. I would like to mention some of the individuals who went over and above to make our stay unforgettable. Jobin – professionally leading his team throughout checked on us daily. Shiva and Samson for looking after us at breakfast and dinner each evening respectively. The outstanding cooking from Chef Senthil – cooked us some of the best seafood I have tasted! Nothing is mass produced at Niraamaya – all meals are individually prepared, catered to your needs, with huge portions. Nidheesha from housekeeping – who went above and beyond to help us with tailoring. We are incredibly grateful to you all. Just to mention construction from the port did not affect our stay in any way. Thank you for looking after us so well – Niraamaya is truly a home away from home for us now. Thank you for making us feel like family – we miss you all! We will be back very soon. Thank you Christina
