It's just one of the nicest bed and breakfasts at which we've ever had the luxury to spend time. The owners thought of everything and then some. As you leave the main road you enter their property you are immediately enthralled by the environment. This B&B is in an absolute rainforest. The foliage, the vegetation. It's gorgeous. The grounds are meticulously maintained and absolutely the most amazing grounds you could ask for while staying in a Hawaiian rain forest within driving distance of the world's most active volcano! Upon arriving at the property itself and walking into your room you are immediately impressed with personal/fine touches. There are umbrellas at the door underneath the covered entryway to protect you from the frequent rain. There are more than enough hooks inside and out for hanging wet rain jackets/etc....the room is modern and chic with a patio that overlooks the best most amazing backyard anyone could ask for. Beautiful for morning coffee and breakfast or for evening tea or wine. The room features a refrigerator with a real freezer, microwave, toaster, real coffee maker, wine glasses, cork screw/etc...everything you could possibly need. There is a guidebook to the local area with recommendations of everything from local restaurants to Volcano National Park and the can't miss hikes and can't miss food. Other local activities etc... The beds are amazing and feature an amazing in mattress heater if you get cold (it was cool, yes, even in July). After sleeping soundly all night to the sound of the rainforest breakfast was delicious. Our two nights featured variations on eggs, fresh banana bread, pineapple in a papaya bowl, coffee, local juice/etc... Stay here. It is immaculate and worth it. We will be back.
