Brookby Motel

I don't usually give 10/10 but in our subjective opinion this motel is excellent. Its a refurbished older property so has plenty of space separate bedroom , dining , shower bathroom. It was very clean with lots of little extras . The host was welcoming and gave us good advice re dining out , within walking distance. It does have an equipped kitchen for those who wish to self cater. A nice feature was the rear balcony which looks out over the bush covered hillside and is adjacent to a stream. We though the motel represented great value. The only downside was we didn't get to meet the resident cat !

This was a lovely Motel. Very clean and spacious, we loved the one bedroom unit and really enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the sun with the sound of the stream in the background. The owner was very helpful, we have a big car and two bikes, which she very kindly allocated us two car parking spaces. This was somewhere we could happily stayed longer. Highly recommended.

What a pleasant surprise finding this motel. Everything you need, super clean and comfortable. Best nights sleep I had on holiday. Exceeded our expectations. Great location with the afternoon sun on the deck and a babbling brook beside it. Host was really lovely.

Great neat, clean motel close to town. Excellent service from staff. Will definitely stay again. We were a motorcycle group and arrived wet and tired, nothing was to much trouble. Quiet location with river walk nearby. The motel matched the ambience of the lovely town of Thames.

We booked their small room as we were attending a function so didn't anticipate being in our room much. The small room was perfectly functional for our use. Clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Great water pressure in the shower too!

What a find! My stay was for only one night, but if I was ever having to be in Thames again, this delightful property is where I’d be staying. A peaceful quiet location, beautifully appointed, extremely functional one room studio. Previous reviews are still as relevant as they were from several years ago.

Excellent facilities, fantastic hosts, great location. We stayed for two nights at the commencement of our holiday in New Zealand and this was one of the best places we stayed. Excellent value for money.
