Amazing experience to be greeted at The Rudraksha Retreat. The owners are humble and made us feel very welcomed. We ate lunch here and the food was so delicious - organic and healthy. Everything here is made out of love and in love, and once you come here you can experience that vibration. The best part was also the view of several Himalayan peaks and the range, it feels as if time stops here. Thank you! See you again soon.

It's hard to find enough adjectives to properly describe this wonderful,family oriented retreat. The rooms are luxurious. The service was impeccable. The yoga and meditation space was fully equipped. Our small group of 6 women was treated with an amazing experience including gourmet vegetarian dishes, catered and customized activities, massages, pedicures and henna per our request. We had amazing hikes and a picnic on the mountain. We enjoyed learning more about the cosmetics and lotions they'are developing as a signature line and honestly, just being pampered from head to toe. Don't miss out on this amazing experience. It was the trip of a lifetime.

Though I originally came to The Rudraksh Retreat with the simple intention of doing yoga, I had no idea this place would move me in the ways it did. From the very first moment: the welcome, the warmth, the smiles, I felt like I wasn’t just arriving at a retreat… I was arriving into a family. I felt excited, but still, I had no idea how extraordinary the days to come would be. If I could give the food here a thousand stars, I would. I didn’t expect the meals to be one of the most unforgettable parts of my stay, and yet they absolutely were. Everything was fresh, the ingredients were grown just a few metres from where I ate them. Every meal was different. Every dish was nourishing and flavourful. There was not a single meal that wasn’t exceptional. I will dream about the food here forever! I was upgraded to a higher room for my first nights, and then moved to a lower one later, and both were beautiful. Both had that magic that comes from nature itself. The sunrise in the mornings were like nothing I had seen before, absolutely beautiful. 
 Yoga was every morning and I loved it. The teacher could sense our bodies, our needs, our limits, and she would gently adjust the practice for each of us. The mother of the family recently created a natural product lab, where she formulates her own herbal and oil based products. I had the honour of watching her work, and even helping her create one of the products while I was there. It was fascinating, intimate, and inspiring. Her passion is so pure, so clear, it is impossible not to believe in what she is creating. During my stay I went on several walks and hikes. One day the yoga teacher took me into the forest where we sat together in stillness for a guided meditation. Another evening, the son took me on a sunset walk which felt like walking through a painting. Another day, he led me on a longer hike, through mountain villages, and we even stopped at a family home. I was here during Diwali, which felt like such a blessing. They also invited children from nearby villages so they could celebrate too. It was beautiful, joyful, and meaningful. My week at The Rudraksh Retreat is something I will remember forever. I came here expecting a yoga stay, instead, I found: family, belonging, beauty, connection. This place is built on love. In the way they open their home and their hearts. Words could never fully capture what this place is, but I hope this gives even a glimpse.

Rudraksh Himalayan Retreat is a perfect place to relax, rejuvenate and connect with your spirituality. The views are spectacular with views of the tehri reservoir, mountains and snow capped peaks of Himalayas on a clear day. We enjoyed multi-course meals including local delicacies while enjoying these views from the restaurant. They always consulted with us on what food we liked and tailored the menu based on that. Maheshji, the owner, and the staff made us feel at home and took exceptional care of us. They took us on walks and pulled out their telescope to show us full moon of Kartik Purnima. We loved our stay and hope to visit again.

Such a peaceful place to unwind in the mountains! Loved the calm surroundings, the yoga sessions, and the beautiful nature walk — it felt so refreshing. The food was just amazing, all home-grown and made with so much love. The owner’s family is really warm and welcoming — they make you feel like part of their home.
