The room is clean but very basic since it is a hostel. Location very close to wormcaves.

設施：青旅配套設施齊全，休息區，洗衣房基本都有 衞生：乾淨整潔 環境：距離鎮上一公里左右，步行15分鐘 服務：自助入住，沒碰到前台

One of my favourite hostels in New Zealand so far, if you want to rest and enjoy peace. It has a kind of mountain refuge ambience, with the fire lit in the centre of the room in winter, very warm, very clean and cosy. we stayed in a double room, which was comfortable. Not too big, but really nice. Really close to the caves around the Waitomo area and from the Otorohanga Kiwi House. There is a one year old dog in the property, likes to eat shoes that are left unattended in the common areas.

The host was very friendly and helpful. Kitchen was clean and tidy. Nice atmosphere. Bathroom facilies on the small side and the rooms had thin walls (could hear someone snoring from another room. The bed mattress was too hard.

I travelled around NZ for a month, and this was my favorite hostel I stayed in. The overall vibe and all the travellers were upbeat and friendly. It was cool having both the hostel rooms inside and camping spots outside. The pool was an awesome feature, hosts were friendly and helpful, and I loved having the two pigs, goat, deer, and George the dog around! It was such a nice secluded and quiet location, but close enough to drive to restaurants within 10 minutes. Walls were a bit thin, and beds and pillows weren't overly comfortable, but hey, that's how it usually works at hostels. Shared bathrooms were always clean and lots of hot water. Would recommend for sure!

The hostel in itself is ok. Shower and bathrooms are clean. Kitchen is good. Bed are acceptable but tend to cave in. What made this experience really terrible for us (I’m travelling with my cousin) was the manager. He barged in our room without a knock or a word at 11pm screaming incomprehensible words and throwing people things around the room violently. This was a very scary moment because he never said who he was; I really taught my life was in danger. We finally understood that he was asking if there was any free beds in the room. Then he stormed off. He came back, screaming and swearing again, with two girls that looked absolutely terrified of him (apparently he had just done the same thing in front of them in another room next door). He had also screamed at the girls because they checked in too late. We asked him who he was the second time he came in the room and he just screamed “I’M THE MANAGER!” and then stormed off again. The whole thing was so disrespectful and unprofessional. It felt super unsafe to stay there after. I would highly recommend to stay elsewhere just because of him. I feel like he needs medical attention.

Thanks for the quick and easy help with the booking. We enjoyed our stay a lot. A very cozy and welcomming place. lots of areas to relax. The host is very kind and helpful. The road is a bit noisy, if you stay in a tent, but easy to handle if you have earplugs :-)

Das war mit Abstand mein bester Aufenthalt auf der Nordinsel in Neuseeland ! Es hat mir so gut gefallen dass ich länger geblieben bin !! Sehr süße Art berghütte mitten im nichts, es gibt schöne Wanderwege drum herum (ich bin ohne Auto gereist) wenn man aber die wirklich atemberaubenden Orte drum herum (std Fahrt ca) sehen will bräuchte man schon ein Auto - allerdings sind die Leute da so toll und freundlich und fast alle mit Auto unterwegs dass sich eigentlich immer jemand gefunden hat mit dem man was unternehmen konnte. Ich würde vorher einkaufen für die Zeit weil es nicht wirklich einen Supermarkt in „walking distance“ gibt. Von dem Busstop in waitomo township wird ein „Shuttle“ umsonst zum Hostel angeboten wenn man anfragt abgeholt zu werden. Das Hostel an sich ist im Vergleich sehr sauber ! (Mal kein Schimmel im Bad), die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm, man fühlt sich direkt wie zuhause. Das personal ist extrem nett, die Aussicht ist atemberaubend, es leben ein Hund, kleine und große Schweine auf dem Gelände, Kühe, Rehe, Schafe drum herum. Und die Gäste sind auch alle Alterklassen, einige sehr junge work and Traveller oder nut Traveller, Familien, Paare - also man findet immer jemanden mit dem man sich gut versteht und auch wenn man mal nur für sich sein will gibt es auch mehr als genug Platz ! Die Betten sind etwas hart aber darüber kann man hinwegsehen weil der Rest einfach nur winnTraum ist ! Ich werde auf jedenfall wiederkommen !!
