We stayed here for three nights and enjoyed the lodge in every way. The kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of hot water and appreciated dishwasher, washing machine and drying rack. I felt like a homesteader surrounded by beautiful landscape and peaceful setting. Loved the nearby animals and hedgehog sighting. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for 3 nights, the place itself is very big, more than enough room. The kitchen is huge and has everything you need. The bathroom/ shower is very big and modern as well. You can see the horses and sheep all day, and the chicken might even come to greet you. The home-made bread and banana cake were delicious! Thanks for making our stay even more amazing in Te Anau

A clean and comfortable chalet in a beautiful, quiet location and with a well-stocked kitchen to prepare meals. In-unit laundry was a bonus! Wonderful host who delivered fresh baked bread and provided helpful suggestions about tours in Milford Sound. Would definitely stay again - thank you!!

One could scarcely ask for anything more. Such a beautiful apartment in an exceptionally lovely rural setting, yet only minutes from Te Anau and not far from Manipuri where tours of Doubtful Sound begin, and also well positioned for Milford. The studio apartment is large, comfortably furnished and has a well-appointed kitchen. The Wi-Fi works well. We enjoyed wandering the property and saying Hello to the horses, alpacas and dogs, one of which kept paying us visits. Helen was very helpful, providing us with freshly made bread, butter, jam and cake. Being older and a little wobbly, I really appreciated the shower with its seat and grabrails.

The host, Helen, was extremely welcoming. There was freshly baked and buttered slices of date loaf waiting for us and a short while after our arrival Helen brought a fresh warm homemade loaf of bread. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter and breakfast cereals were provided. The beds were super comfy with feather duvets, excellent heating and wifi too.

Nicely appointed property, in a country cottage traditional style with a modern twist. Well equipped. Split into two units - our family of 5 had the 2 bedroom unit which was good size. Beautifully kept, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Located on the same land as the owner's property but at a suitable distance for privacy. Surrounded by open fields and mountain views but only a 5-10 minute drive to Te Anau. Helen was a lovely host. The personal touches of freshly baked bread, butter and jam added to the experience and were very tasty! Helen did offer our kids pony rides but sadly rain put a stop to it but this again was a lovely touch. The addition of bedroom wardrobes (useful for longer staying guests), deck table/chairs to eat outside in the evening and perhaps a partition on the deck between the two units for privacy would be our suggested additions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
