I stayed at Hotel KMM (building A) for four nights in September 2023 as part of a tour group visiting various Georgian cities and towns and the Caucasus Mountains. On the last day of our trip, I witnessed a fellow traveler step off the elevator on Floor 3 and immediately plunge down a marble staircase. This was because the flooring front of the elevator did not extend completely across the space where you get off, due to a jut for the stairway. There were no warning signs or markings. Luckily her fall was somewhat cushioned by a large backpack, but she could easily have had more severe injuries or even died. When informed of the accident, the front desk staff acted almost indifferent, saying they would put up a sign, but I have no idea if that has happened. I believe Floor 4 has the same elevator and staircase configuration. I am writing this review as a warning to others planning to stay at this hotel to be careful getting off the elevator on Floors 3 and 4, and in hopes that the management of the hotel will do something to make these two floors safer. It amazes me that there are not safety codes or building inspections to catch this hazard.
