Nice location and very interesting garden. I did not like much of our expensive evening meal and would not stay here again.

A party of 4 of us had a really excellent dinner at Farthings - excellent food and service and very good value. The goat cheese starter, recommended by the waitress, was delicious and all the food was frsh and well prepared. We will look forward to the next time.

Just back from a 2 night stay at the Farthings Country Hotel and Restaurant. The Farthings is set in a quiet location within easy reach of neighbouring towns. It's a cosy hotel with great food, the staff are lovely, friendly and attentive.Would highly recommend staying here for a short break. Thank you!

Very comfortable beds. Lovely gardens. Pretty old house. Some lovely, big bedrooms. Good food and breakfast. Nice, helpful staff. Quiet location. Hotel is not ideal for older people with even minor mobility issues... lots of stairs; quirky bathrooms up a spiral staircase etc. Needs more comfy chairs for relaxing - perhaps in the bar area where there are tables??

The newly renovated ground floor rooms are beautifully decorated and overlook the gardens at the rear of the property. The beds are super comfy and the bathroom has a powerful shower The food in the restaurant is very good and even cater for those with food allegies. The staff are very friendly and welcoming The area is in a quiet village setting but yet close enough to the main arterial roads to get to yeovil and Taunton Would definitely stay here again

Intriguing hotel with nicely furnished rooms and excellent breakfast and dining options. Good value for money and very enjoyable stay.

Comfortable hotel. But lack one significant thing - comfortable, relaxing sofas (only two small chairs). I would strongly advise for those guests that would enjoy a drink at the bar some comfortable soft seating sofas and arm chairs near the fire place - PLEASE (remove one of the dining tables).. would add to the comfort of guests and ambience and may even attract local trade..

Overnight stay with breakfast, stayed here before and all ok, nothing special, this mornings breakfast paid for by our son was a total joke, £16.00 for what was basically inedible. Went for the vegan option, chargrilled asparagus, raw, never seen a grill, toast, maybe glansed a the toaster, potatoes, well forget it. The experience, well never againn

Buyagift voucher a bit tricky to use. But, room was very comfortable although towels a little scratchy. Food was excellent. Interesting and local menu - I would suggest it would be fine dining so portions as expected. Breakfast a bit pricy but tasty.
