아 코파(A' Coffa)

We’re just back from 4 nights at this lovely B&B - Marco our host was great, very helpful in offering recommendations of restaurants and places to visit. Very comfortable room and great choice for breakfast, can highly recommend.

Greatly enjoyed our stay at A Coffa! The breakfast was by far better than anything we have had thus far in our 2 weeks in Sicily!! Room was comfortable. Location right in the heart of Taormina. The host was super friendly. No hesitation in recommending this BnB.

For a short two-night visit to picturesque Taormina, A'COFFA Rooms&Breakfast was an ideal choice. Owned and operated by a very nice young couple, the B&B is perfectly located in the heart of local sightseeing, restaurant, bar and shopping action. The rooms are above street level, so be prepared to walk up flights of stairs. Fortunately, we had booked a larger balcony room which was just one floor up. At breakfast, if there is some additional item (like gluten free bread/crackers) which you don't see, just ask Marco or his wife. They were really wonderful hosts. For dinner, we went directly downstairs to Bistrot Sike. Marco told us that it was owned by his friend, so we should mention we were staying upstairs. We got a nice discount, and the food was excellent. If this benefit is still available, it was a good deal. Here's one last piece of info. Unfortunately, we needed a rental car for our remaining 20-day tour of Sicily. There was little to no street parking in Taormina, so we paid to park in the huge municipal garage at the bottom of the hill. Taormina does provide a free shuttle to the car park, which is also where you might meet any tour buses. Marco was kind enough to tell us where to catch the shuttle, which was only a short walk straight down Corso Umberto.

If you visit Taormina this is THE PLACE stay! We absolutely loved everything about the room, the service, the breakfast, the people, the location.. what else do you been? Marco treated us so kind and provided a delicious cappuccino and Sicilian pastries. I went on a business trip to Malta and on our trip back we decided to visit Taormina with my colleague.. now is the time to plan a second visit with my daughter and of course I will stay here!!!!

If you are okay finding a parking garage about 600 meters away and walking to Marco’s place (uphill), then this is a great find! Right in the heart of Taormina and right on “Corso Umberto,” and all of the restaurants and shops! And you can take the path right next to the front door (about a 20-minute stroll downhill) to the beach and Isola Bella, and then take the cable car back up! Breakfast was very good, and Marco was a great host, helpful , friendly and lots of recommendations.

We stayed 4 nights recently and enjoyed our time at A’Coffa. The room was spotless. Although small (by US standards) the room was comfortable and well planned. The host helped bring luggage up the steep stairs. He also prepared an excellent breakfast daily. No on site parking is available so, if you are driving, be prepared to take a free shuttle bus and then walk for about 5 minutes from the public lot.

Positive: excellent location in the middle of historic old Taormina, exceptionally clean B&B, friendly host, delicious homemade breakfast, great value, the host will assist in arranging day-excursions. Negatives: parking requires a short free shuttle bus ride followed by a 5 minute walk. The rooms require walking up steep stairs (Marco, the host, is happy to carry your bags up and down the stairs).

Very nice place in a small building on via Umberto, cosy and friendly, the room was very clean !!
