팜 파라다이스 카바나 & 빌라 비치 리조트 탕갈레(Palm Paradise Cabanas & Villas Beach Resort)

We stayed in the family villa which could accommodate 5 with an extra bed. The hotel was very well kept and the wildlife around the villa was wonderful - we had a peacock sitting in the tree just outside our villa. Goyambokka Beach is just yards away and is paradise with a choice of places to eat and drink. We ate in both the hotel restaurants which were both nice. The pool was a lovely place to cool down.

A slightly corporate welcome but once we were taken through the complex everything was very well maintained and the staff were incredibly friendly from this point. Our room was very clean and modern. We had a slight issue with the shower drainage but this was fixed on request. The real draw is the picturesque beach, the best we’d seen on our trip! It really is paradise! Tasty breakfast, beautiful beach and very friendly staff made our stay here.

Loved this place! Stayed in a cabana which was very basic but it was wonderful lying in bed and hearing the crashing waves from the nearby beach. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful! Only sorry that we couldn’t stay for longer but hope to be back one day.

Returning to Palm Paradise after a four year gap, it remains a lovely place to stay. This time, we stayed for two nights in the most luxurious villa for four people before moving to a 'country house room' for six nights, which although simpler was still very comfortable. Four years ago we enjoyed the sea breezes in a cabana. The beach is a delight and wasn't too crowded whilst we were there. The waves were quite lively but when we tired of the beach we enjoyed retiring to the lovely, if oddly shaped, swimming pool. The well-cared for gardens and the birds they attract are a delight. Breakfast was delicious, particularly the toast, and a bonus was being able to try the restaurants on the beach and along the lane to Goyambokka. The resort very efficiently organised a couple of trips for us - a tuc tuc ride to the atmospheric Mulkirigala Temple (go early in the morning) and an evening taxi/boat trip to the Kalematiya Bird Reserve. Tangalle is a short tuc tuc ride away for shopping and visiting the fishing harbour.

Stayed in the villas wing and absolutely loved it. The accommodations look very handsome, taking their cue from a Bawa-inspired tropical modernism. Staff was great, always ready to help, never making me wait. I also enjoyed the food at the Pavillion a lot, and ended up having all my meals there. The best bit was the direct access to the stunning Goyambokka Beach - it was an absolute privilege to be able to enjoy the place at the drop of a hat. Overall, I thought it was excellent value, especially considering that it’s neighbours are the significantly more expensive Aman and Anantara (which by the way have beaches which look pretty but aren’t swim-friendly in the least). I’ll definitely return!

We spent 4 nights at a Cabana near the beach. Had some bad luck with weather as it rained 2 days and the ocean was stormy. Nice secluded beaches near the cabana and friendly people.

Firstly, the location is absolutely amazing. The beach bay is pristine, offering a serene escape from crowded tourist spots. The opportunity for endless body surfing made my stay truly enjoyable. A pleasant surprise was discovering that the restaurant is primarily managed by Sri Lankan locals, not the German owners. Palm Paradise Cabanas and Villas is a hidden gem. The beautiful location, the welcoming local staff, and the restaurant’s culinary delights make it a recommended stay, despite the less-than-friendly German owners. No hospitality skills . Support the locals.

Place is great, beach is just 17 seconds away and the staff is so frendly and nice, we even had a drink and a talk. Always smiling and willing to help you. Lot of fun activitues to do and play many games if you just want to stay in. Restaurant is also good with wide range of food selection for you to eat. Cabanas are so homey and you really get the feeling of sleeping in paradise.

The place was simple but nothing is missing, the beach also was wonderfull and very quiet. The big difference was made by the lovely staff, Pathirana and his guys, very professional and Kindle people, always taking care of the guests. Thank you, hope to come back one day!
