I was truly looking forward to an amazing experience as i have never stayed at a Le Meridien. I am sad to say we did not have a good experience. The hotel does not feel luxurious. The room is a little better than staying at Aloft or Courtyard. This was disappointing. We arrived late Friday night to check in. We were surprised that we could not charge our devices using a USB only. The USB outlets did not work on either side of the bed. There were no other outlet options to be found. I did let the front desk know in the morning and it was fixed for Saturday - thank you. The next day, we were very upset when the hot water did not work. I guess we were lucky we had lukewarm water? When my husband called down, the response not an apology for this major issue - it was someone is working on it. My husband took a cold shower and I had a lukewarm shower. When I tried to use the hair conditioner in the shower, it seemed empty? The pump only randomly spit out some conditioner. This is fine when I am home and I know I am out of conditioner, but not when my ”luxury” hotel room was serviced the prior day. My husband also called down to the front desk about it and was told it would be fixed, but it did not make a difference at that point. My husband and I work very hard. Staying at Le Meridien was very expensive. We have stayed at other luxury hotels before and we did not feel like this was a luxury stay. We expect more (outside of hotwater and USB charging ports)- for example more than 1 bottle of ”free” water or the ability to fill a bottle with fresh water at anytime of the day and not in the bathroom sink. The hotel does not have bottle fillers and when I asked, I was directed to use a water fountain, but the water flow would not allow someone to drink from it let alone fill a water bottle. The building was restored well, but that does not make a luxury hotel.
