The Bearded Dragon Boutique Hotel

The most expensive Beer I have ever ordered!! We went for lunch on Sunday 14.4.24 and ordered 2 x the Go Greek Lamb Souvlaki Plate from the Specials board at $36 per plate expecting a Chef's Special. After 30 minutes the food arrived and was put on the table opposite us, where another couple had only arrived minutes earlier. We spoke to the waitress and asked if that was Souvlaki as we had ordered 2 and perhaps that was ours? No, we were told it wasn't so food was taken back to the kitchen, then returned to us about 10 minutes later saying, yes it was ours. By then, the lamb was cold of course, so I asked for a fresh plate. 30 minutes later a fresh plate (or it was supposed to be) arrived and the lamb and potatoes were again cold. My husband was starving and started eating so we ate our cold plates (shouldn't have as it was pretty disappointing) My husband then went to the bar and got a Corona, when he returned he realised he'd been charged $13.50 for one Corona!! At $60 per carton, that's $354 they're getting per carton of Corona for goodness sake!! Make a profit but $8- $9 per corona is what you usually pay anywhere. Anyway, we won't be back here. Despite the waitress listening to our complaints, no offer of another free lunch or refund of anything was offered. For a Country Pub, this was one of the most expensive places we have eaten at EVER and we dine out 3-4 days every week. In Summary the total cost was 2 x Souvlaki at $36 each - $72, bottle of wine $37, Corona $13.50 - total for 1 x table $122.50 and the table was wobbly. Even the fish and chips were $32.50 - way, way overpriced menu for what you're getting. I do not recommend this pub.

A beautiful hotel situated at the base of Mt Tambourine.. Although we didnt stay overnight, we had a beautiful generous lunch meal. Food was delicious and staff very friendly and acommodating. Hotel was situated in park like surroundings complete with childrens playground an array of friendly animals and an ideal place for a wedding or event. Plenty of space. We will be back again. Not very busted lunch order x 3 meals advised 38 minutes. While arrived around 30 mins. My opinion lamb souvlaki was priced high, Was a souvlaki at a stretch, and lamb had been over cooked and Waa tough. Meals delivered without cutlery ask a wait staff member git a blank look and told insidecl at counter - really. Overall nothing to cone back for. Could be a lot better.

Came for a car event lunch, the place was very busy and there didn't seem to be nearly enough staff for a booked event, line-up 2 deep and out the door at the bar and where the food had to be ordered,ordered 3 meals pretty much at the same time and were advised of a wait which was fine, one came out and was so bad our friend couldn't bring herself to eat it, after waiting for a while for the other 2 meals we made enquiries and were told they hadn't even been sent to the kitchen and would be 15 mins more, after 25 mins we asked again and were told it'd be another 15mins, after another 20 mins we asked again and we're told our food was next to be sent out, we cancelled due to the time we'd waited and our friends food being inedible and everyone else had finished eating,we did receive a refund for all three meals but my partner and I were so hungry, we left and got some food on the way home, such a shame as the pub is in a great location and is a lovely building, won't be going back

So very disappointing. A fave place for my son and I and iconic place for busy Sunday sessions. They lost us today 😪 Bought friends again to be embarrassed waiting for a kids chips and nuggets, burger, 2 pastas a narsi Goreng (was it though?) Looked like brown rice green leaves and mmm not sure! 1 hr 50 mins. No communication and treated so rudely by the maitre d'. Absolutely disgraceful. So condescending to say the least. When we finally got the meals, they were terrible. Ridiculously expensive for quantity and taste. After they chose to make a spectical of us, every other table complained and asked for a refund. One table,a large party, arrived before us were still waiting when we left. The poor lady whose occasion it was, was crying. Yes after much debate, they gave us a refund, but not without patronising us. I asked for a soda water for our driver and low and behold, they charged me $4 for what should normally be free. Especially when we weren't being fed! I feel so much for the beautiful staff just doing their jobs copping the brunt of displeasure and complaints, who have been their when it was once a positive, pleasant enjoyable place to visit. I do not recommend what used to be a favourite. And I'm sorry to say, it wasn't a one off experience. I've just be very understanding and make a lot of excuses. So sad. If only you had communicated with us, been honest with us and not SO RUDE we would have understood.

Great place and atmosphere, came down to celebrate my great uncles wedding, great food, staff and place. Great day out as well, has something for all ages with the animals and playground, great live music. Highly recommend, bethan was amazing!! Nae was a great coordinator making everything very effortless

I went to the bearded dragon for a family celebration, they really delivered the food and service was amazing! The management staff were very accommodating. Would come again, the food and atmosphere was phenomenal!

The pillows are amazingly comfortable, the room itself was in mint condition, the lighting and wifi was extremely good too. Coming for a business conference, i really found an awesome spot in the gorgeous place of the scenic rim! already booked my next stay!! Amazing BD crew!

I ordered the Greek Souvlaki plate expecting something edible. Sadly mistaken. The lamb was just roast lamb. The tzatziki dip on the side was so dry the cucumber stood out in the dish and the cucumber in the Greek salad made the salad look like it had been sitting all day for some unsuspecting soul to order it. I also asked to ‘swap’ out the chat potatoes for chips. For that privilege I was charged an extra $5.
