Tamarindo Blue Apartments

i have never wrote a review before, but im here to warn YOU! Michele stalla, the owner of the blue apar**ents is an extremely rude, arrogant and cruel person. zero points for this stay. terrible conditions, dirty apar**ents, bathroom, no running water at night, couldn't flush toilet, when complained, he came like a mad man knocking and screaming open the door,reacted offended, got personal and insulting towards his guests, can you imagine! instead of finding a solution he decided to react like a 7 year old child would do. we wanted to leave immediately, airbnb got us our money back, then he made up the story that we destroyed a 400 euro tv! we never touched nore ever used it. he got that money than from airbnb. this man is corrupt and cruel, for you own safety, stay away! as we are packing our stuff to leave (before check out time !) he comes screaming knocking at our door we should leave right now, immediately and rushes us with an attitude and evil energy, that I haven't seen in a long time.

Me and my friend arrived to this place and it was not a good experience. In the apar**ent we were met by a bad smell, unclean bathroom, a wet couch, mold in the kitchen and window that we were unable to close. When we told the host about this he just laughed and blamed the climate to be the reason. We asked for a refund but he refused to give us that. I do not recommend this place at all.

Stayed one night and everyone woke up the next morning COVERED in bed bug bites. Tried to talk to the owner and he violently threatened us and tried to fight me. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s dangerous and dirty

We would very strongly not recommend the Tamarindo Blue for numerous health and safety reasons. The accommodations themselves are a Hell Hole to say the least, in addition to the host being one of the most arrogant and rood persons I have ever met!! Initially we booked Tamarindo Blue for a 4 week stay, and we ended up only staying 1 night!! We brought a list of our concerns to the Host the following morning and he had no intention of making any repairs to the apar**ent, including toilets that didn’t flush, leaked raw sewer on the floor and bubbled and gurgled all night long, cockroaches absolutely everywhere, bedbug bites to all family members, filthy mattresses with paper between the sheets, and a kitchen unsuitable for a university students needs!! The room stank of sewage and ammonia. He advised us that his apar**ents were ‘good enough for him’. The apar**ent was not worth the money we paid and it’s not what it is advertised as in the photos. I suppose if i were 21 and needed a dirty "flop house", this MIGHT have sufficed. We had a host of other concerns such as weak/ disconnecting Wi-Fi, door locks that only worked with a key from the inside, deadbolts that didn’t work, the kitchen sink did not work properly and overall not clean and in a state of disrepair. Feel free to contact me and I can send you the list that we sent to the Host. The Host was very non-responsive to any of our concerns. He continuedly deflected responsibility and was extremely rood to my wife and I when trying to discuss our concerns. I would strongly recommend you read all the reviews about this property and Host prior to booking. I certainly wish we had!!! The negative reviews about the property and the Host are true. We ended up having to file a complaint to Airbnb, which took a week to recover a portion of our money of the unstayed nights. If you consider staying here despite the reviews do so at your own risk... you will be staying with the Devil himself in his little Hell Hole!! PS... Google the Host and you will see a plethora of additional information about his character... then you may start to see the picture i am trying to paint in order to help avoid this same situation for other travelers. Bad people have no intentions of doing good for others and this is the case here. Pura Vita and safe travels everyone :)

In 2021 I was here on business for six months and Mr Stalia went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. When my reservation at another location did not work out, he was generous to reserve me my delightful room just a few days ahead of arriving at Liberia airport. My sliding glass door led out to a covered back porch with round glass top table and four chairs with a view of the gorgeous clean, well maintained pool. It was great to sit outside during the rainy season and enjoy the storm.The groundskeeper did an excellent job of maintaining all the colorful tropical plants and walkways. They even washed and dried my cloths for me weekly and delivered them neat and folded to my door. I had requested high speed internet for work and he gave me the room right under the internet antenna. I met all my neighbors to the left and right of me for six months and all of them enjoyed their apar**ent. The house cleaners came at least once a week and sometimes twice a week. It was a quiet and peaceful place with no wild parties. I would not be very surprised if the one star reviews were SPAM. The nasty negative reviews don't mention that Tamarindo was completely shut down for Covid in 2020. And in 2021, every hotel and restaurant owner in town were trying to recover from massive financial losses. It was also extremely difficult to hire help at that time. So sorry that spoiled Americans and other guests with unrealistic expectations whine and complain for a $50 room. They should have gotten a $180 room.

Stayed here in 2020 - accommodations were decent considering the price. The apar**ent didn't have all the essential utensils/tools to make the kitchenette functional, water pressure was low, mattress was uncomfortable and there were a lot of large ants inside the unit. However, my husband and I are low maintenance guests and would have overlooked all of this but the Italian owner, Michele is an absolute nigh**are to deal with. No customer service skills whatsoever, extremely rude, abrasive and he entered our apar**ent without permission while we weren't there and snooped through our belongings. Do yourself a favour, pay a bit more and stay elsewhere!!
