Sayura Beach Hotel

The location right on the beach was perfect - a few steps around the bay to protected swimming behind the reef with turtles nudging you for a sea lettuce treat. Nearer the reef there were lots of fish, big and small. The semi indoor pool was clean and well maintained with change rooms in the hotel foyer. Best to have your own beach towels, as was the case almost all over the island. The rooms were spacious and well equipped, housekeeping on request without extra charge. The bathrooms were truly clean with toiletries supplied, including toothbrushes. Breakfast was very generous, attractively presented and varied over the days we were there. We had dinner there one night - excellent meal. The staff were always professional, friendly and welcoming and a little issue of our own making was attended to quickly and helpfully. The lift wasn't working when we were there - we were notified of this before our arrival - but staff quickly whisked our bags up the stairs - and disappeared without hanging about for a tip. Nice. Makes you want to stay there again.

There are just 2 things good about this hotel rest all is very very poor. The good things is very spacious room and direct view of the beach from each and every room. Breakfast is ok dinner never even think of eating all the food was expired and after telling to the front desk they didn't care at all and over expensive food.

The hotel is in wonderful place, room was spaces and clean, view was amazing. Staff wasn’t very interested in you but what asked did everything. For example to give water to clean room to give fresh towels. Need to ask everything what you need 😃. Breakfast was not as usually, they gave pancakes, fruits, eggs, juice. The hotel is an excellent place but nothing more here

Stopped with my Daughters for 3 nights. The staff could not be more helpful in this hotel with the perfect location. Although it was off season with a rough sea at times the area has a natural sea pool which is safe and can swim with wild sea turtles.

One of the best place at unawatuna facing nice beach wchich is a safe and beautiful place for see bathin and turtule watching. Rooms are very clean, good food and very friendly atmosphere with nice owners. Really worth the money. Hoping to go again.

A very nice hotel with beautiful and clean rooms just 5 meters away from the shoreline! We got a big room with big balcony, quiet A/C and fantastic view. Personnel is very freindly and helpful: beginning of october we were the only guets here and one evening, even if it was late and in the mid of a blackout they quickly opened up the kitchen and prepared a fantastic dinner for us. Breakfasts ware amazing, everyday the cook suprised us with new creations, he is a master of his art. Just the pool is poor, quite cold because more or less indoor, but this is not the reason qou want to stay here. In fact sust 50 meters away along the beach you have a sort of huge natural pool were we spent several days swimming together with giant sea turtle, it has been unique experience!! I strongly recommend this place!
