Popped in here for lunch yesterday 1:30pm whilst in Stansted Mountfitchet. Clean and very quiet so asked if still serving food. Young lady said yes and showed me the lunch menu with a meal and a drink for £12. I said thank you and ordered the cheese burger to which I was asked what drink I would like and after seeing Madri I asked for this. My pint was poured and I happily took a drink and paid by phone after which I noted it was £15.95 total. Querying the £12 deal on offer I was then politely informed that the Madri was not included in the offer as the young lady walked away with my meal order. End off, no apologies, no would you like to change, no anything. Being one of only 3 people in the pub that was it. Least to say I didn’t stay for another drink which was my intention.

Lovley locations and beautiful venue. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Couldn't help enough. Food amazing. Personally recommend the pork belly bites. I stayed in the hotel, room 4. Absolutely stunning, and fully equipped with everything needed including milk , coffee , tea and snacks. Would recommend anyone looking for a welcoming dog friendly environment:)

Took a colleague here for lunch - it was fine. Saga since as I didn't spot the parking enforcement cameras. The pub has tried to help as I provided evidence that I was a customer but I am now being pursued by the bailiffs as the parking company is totally unresponsive - shocking and distressing to say the least.

The food was cooked well but the produce was very poor quality. Over priced. Wouldn’t recommend. £70 for 3 people including drinks. Ingredients couldn’t have cost more than £5 total. Staff very friendly, nice for a drink only.

Unfortunately this pub is stuck 10 years in the past when standards were much lower. It’s a formula menu from Punch pubs with everything pre made and heated. The “home made” pie was certainly not made in any home locally. And my husband said his burger was one of the worst. The chicken strips were not bad - crispy and quite tasty. There are no healthy options on the menu though, best is ceaser salad and they don’t even offer a side of vegetables. When I asked, the only thing they could do were peas and carrots. On the plus side, the location is handy right next to the station, and the service was bright and bubbly. Sure it’s a good place for a drink but not for a meal unless you only want stodge.

Lovely food with great service from jAeNnNnAy at the bar. Such a great team, I didn't know who to name first. So I mixed the names together. They were extremely friendly and made me feel right at home.
