칼드리지 인 - 세인트 조지(Claridge Inn - St. George)

This Claridge Inn has been refurbished since I stayed there the last time. New paint, carpet and tile in the bathroom. Very nice. There are lots of lamps for light. Some lamps with usb ports would be nice since wall plugs are non existent. The mattress was lumpy but just ok, the a/c was great, cold and quiet.

Nice place to stay and located in a convenient area of town. Many restaurants and options for shopping. However, rooms could use some updating…

The experience of checking in with no additional fees was unexpected!! The room was clean and the stay was uninterrupted!

The room had cockroaches on the walls. The heater was noisy and would not turn off. The other guest were loud.

Front staff is aggressive. They wanted me to pay them $100 deposit for one night stay, the previous week there was no deposit. I didn’t have the deposit money so I was turned away and would not refund my money for booking the room!

The hotel itself wasn't too bad. It was quiet and the location was easily accessible and central to lots. My only complaint in regards to the room was that the temperature controls were a little wonky. The unit only had freezing or really hot and it never shut off. Also - not related to the hotel itself but worth noting, the younger female receptionist at checkin was horrible. VERY rude, not so much as a hello when I walked in. Then announced my room number out loud with other people in the lobby which is a safety issue. She couldn't be bothered to tell me more than 'Your room is on the end that way' which wasn't true. We had to go around the front of the building to get there. Not a huge deal since it is small but just not a great first impression. The older lady in the morning was delightful at checkout though.

The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and helpful. 10/10 customer service. The room was dirty, there was recent shaven beard hairs in sink and used towel on the counter, but the room is very cheap so I didn’t mind as much.

Fast check in, very affordable. Plenty of dining options within easy walking distance.

I was surprised to show up and see how dirty the place was. I took pictures of the mold that was in the restroom, to show the manager. When I called the office to tell them about the mold the gentleman just said "it isn't mold it is just fromt he humidity." I told him that is where mold comes from. Nonetheless, he did come to clean it up, and said he would grant a full refund for the room, which was really nice but at that point I decided to leave and find another hotel.
