This is not a 4* hotel 3* is a Maximum Before booking, check that there are no large groups of children staying, as part of rugby or other large group tours. Otherwise you could have 3/400 children running a muck The hotel is in need of a major refurbishment The rooms are small, with two single beds pushed together. They have a single over sheet and single duvet in the wardrobe, if you dare use them. Our room had a constant noise, from the so called air conditioning that didn’t work, just a celing fan. Some rooms have a small balcony that overlooks the only small outside pool. Rooms have the usual small safe in the wardrobe, that could be carried away. Small fridge is also provided. No electric sockets near the bed, just one near the TV. The rooms have doors that are opened by a key card, which plays a small tune, this is annoying at night, so was the constant door banging from other nearby rooms We found it impossible to sleep at night, and early morning your woken by the maid wan The hotel has 6 floors of rooms, with a roof terrace with sun loungers on the top. Hotel description mentioned a jacuzzi on the top floor, however this was empty and not working, neither was the so called roof bar, that never opened. Outside pool was freezing and only enough Sun loungers for 20/30 people, in the shaded poolside. Reception staff, and other major positions were run by very rude people. I asked reception on arrival for an extra pillow, to be told that there wasn’t any. I watched as a young lad, accidentally spilt a bit of coffee on the floor, to be shouted at by the management staff. The other, obvious local staff were friendly and hardworking. The two rickety lifts broke down during our stay, and we’re not working when we left. THE FOOD Was repetitive and a poor choice You could not help yourself to anything, other than the coffee/juice machine, where there were two for a full hotel. It was like waiting in line for a small portion of school dinners. The food was Pasta, fish, pork, beef - Rice and Vegetables NO CHIPS or Childrens meals. Breakfast is the usual streaky bacon with discusting sausage, burnt eggs, beans and tomatoes. Even your toast was put through a machine for you, and was cold and not toasted enough, as it hit the plate. DRINKS Best to buy the local CISK lager, either in bottles or cans Don’t buy draght as it is flat Indoor little shop is reasonable for drinks and chocolate etc If you arrive out of normal hours, make sure you have food/drink with you, as there is nothing around the hotel other than unfinished buildings. If you venture outside the hotel turn right and keep right… Leads eventually to a rocky beach with a few shops and bars. Turning left is like a trip to a dusty building site for miles. Would we stay again?? Definitely NOT Do NOT waste your hard earned cash From what we seen in this area of Malta I would describe as Very Dusty Surrounding buildings everywhere are either rundown or like a construction site.
