Smart Stay The property has old style exterior door access buildings that have been colorfully updated. Outdoor pool and area looked inviting. The room also has been updated with wood flooring and carpet under the beds. Reception was friendly and cooperative. Cleanliness es rated high on ******* - We noticed a large stain on the sheet that we were about to cover ourselves with and moved to the other bed. There black stains on the bath door frame and slight ones on the shower curtain and wall near shower head. The hardwood floor was sticky on bare feet - made we cringe. The white towels were soft, but my wife said they were dingy white. We won’t return. Perhaps a $100/night cost is not a welcoming sign, but a warning one?

Conveniently located near I-95, near shopping mall, and restaurants. The afternoon front desk gentleman was not very friendly nor helpful. Actually he was rather rude.

Lots of homeless hanging around or staying there, People in next room had tv on all night, I phoned front desk at 2.am then 4 am and nothing was done to turn the noise off. 7am lady smoking and talking very loud on her phone right out front our door. Worst sleep ever on our 21 day journey.

Nice family trip to know interesting places in Saint Augustine, FL I enjoyed my stay at Smart Hotel and stuff was friendly and so attentive.

Very bad experience in this hotel, I definitely do not recommend it to anyone, we are staying in this hotel for work reasons and just yesterday when one of my colleagues returned tired after a long day he found the room open and all his belongings were stolen, The reviews are not what they seem, don't be fooled, the photos show one thing and the reality is another.

Clean, no frills room. Comfortable bed. First floor room right across from the pool and hot tub.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Close enough to the Saint Augustine attractions but away from the traffic and close to highways. Accommodating staff and nice breakfast too.

It's one of the worst days I've ever had asked if the cuts could stay in the room two weeks in advance and was told yes when we got there we were told no didn't even get to do anything we wanted to do because of this it was my birthday weekend so it was the worst weekend I've ever had for my birthday the manager was the most rudest person I've ever met in my life and I will never go back there again told me he was going to let my dogs out of the room if we left them there alone I will never stay in this place again and I will never ever suggest anybody to stay here got woke up at 3:00 in the morning with people screaming twice but that was okay
