더 스완(The Swan Hotel)

The staff at The Swan continue to make this one of our favourite places to stay anywhere in the world. The renovation has been kept in great shape and the decor looks brand new. We had possibly the best meal yet in the Still Room on this visit. The bar manager has also created some superb cocktails. The Southwold Sour #2 and their twist on an Old Fashioned are both delicious creations. Reception and bar staff are also excellent. We can’t wait to come back.

We had a wonderful week at the Swan. The menu designed in advance to cater for my allergy diet was delicious. The waiters were all very careful ensuring everything was clean and were very well informed.

My friend and I stayed here this week for her 50th birthday. The staff were wonderful from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was delicious and a drink in the bar before bed. Breakfast the next morning was brilliant, served by a lovely young waiter that had also served us the night before. The building and interiors are fabulous. The only slight issue was that it was quite warm in our room, but it didn’t spoil our stay at all, in fact I plan to return in October with my husband for our anniversary.

We stayed for our honeymoon and the staff could have not been more kind and helpful and made us feel so special and welcome. Loved our stay and was sad we had to go home.

We had two night stay with friends at this Adnem owned and Managed Hotel. It was a chunky dinner bed and breakfast rate and it was nearly (but not quite) worth it. The Front of House areas look in pretty good condition but the rooms are not. The food and beverage was very hit and miss and the restaurant in the evening was saved by a very charismatic AGM called Will. Nevertheless the wait was still too long for starters and mains were hit and miss. Breakfast was the same: long waits Team are excellent and friendly and to be fair the hotel was fully booked so they are doing things well. These are challenging times in the hospitality sector and it shows.

Excellent location in Southwold High St, walking distance to everything. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Fantastic restaurant and bar. Staff very friendly.

Would recommend this hotel to all my friends. All the staff were friendly and professional, and the food was superb.

We really needed this- when you are your own boss, holidays can be few and far between. I booked in at the last minute to stay a couple of nights at the Swan Hotel, and we were thoroughly looked after by everyone we encountered. As I previously read, the staff are lovely and very welcoming. The surroundings are beautiful; as is Southwold.

The Swan was a great place to stay and dine and the staff were very welcoming. We thoroughly recommend it.
