웰벡 매너 앤 골프(Welbeck Manor and Golf)

A lovely boutique hotel in the middle of the countryside. The staff are very friendly. The food exceptionally good and exceeded our expectations, the bedrooms large, spacious and very clean and decorated to a very high standard. The golf course was nice but unfortunately the time we spent playing the course had not been cut due we believe to the wet weather the previous week. It would be good to have the opportunity to play again when the course is maintained to see how well it plays. The hotel has room for expansion and we would love to have a swimming pool with hot tub and gym to make the stay all that more special:-)

Went to play 9 holes at the golf course and it was horrible, greens don't look they have been touched in months especially on hole six, Putting on the fairway. Don't know why they are still taking bookings if they cant maintain the course. For an extra two pound you can go to Boringdon Park where the course is maintained all the time. Waste of money am never coming back.

Terrible stay noisy damp and very uncomfortable service very really bad and very rude , room very dirty avoid!! Wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me !! I’m so very disappointed and upset wouldn’t recommend this place too anyone

A fantastic stay at Welbeck Manor. The welcome from the team was first class and the room was very clean, spacious comfortable. The views of the golf course are stunning as the area the Hotel is situated. A great hotel and will definitely be back to stay again! Highly recommend a visit to Welbeck Manor

We (2 adults) booked for Sunday lunch in Feb 2024. We had one roast beef and one roast pork. Servings were generous and plenty of gravy provided. A nice selection of side vegetables were provided too. My only qualm is my beef could have been a bit rarer, but that is a personal taste thing. We finished with a sticky toffee pudding and an apple crumble, lovely in the colder weather. Staff were attentive but not overbearing. It would be nice to have a drinks menu offered and somewhere to hang a coat, but those are minor details that don't detract from the overall experience. A very pleasant lunch experience

I don't think I have ever written a review only 2 hours after checking in but I am absolutely in shock by the customer service and the 'hotel' overall. I had pre booked 2 nights on booking and due to a family emergency I asked could we please use a meal voucher in lieu of 2nd night as at this stage it was too late to travel home, only to be told they could do nothing because I booked through ***********. I contacted *********** and they advised to make the request through my app which I did and they sent an email to the hotel, which the hotel said they hadn't received. I contacted *********** and they once again said it was entirely up to the hotel and they could do no more. I was tired at this stage so paid and asked for the room key only to discover we weren't actually going to be staying in the room! We are in an out house outside the hotel. Next I went to book and pay for the meal plan that was included in my booking only to be told they no longer do dinner plans! Next I asked for an ice bucket for the room to be questionned by the girl behind the bar what I wanted it for as I couldn't drink wine on the premises. The manager and receptionist/ bar tender could greatly benefit from customer service and general training. We'll be leaving in the morning no matter what as this has without doubt been the worst hotel experience I have ever had and ruined what was to be a happy get together with my son who I hadn't seen since Christmas.

Booked an afternoon tea here for friends birthdays and it didn’t disappoint. Menu was a little different with savoury options and the setting and decor was delightful too. Will definitely be back as we would like to try the dinner menu next time. Staff were very helpful and after initially sitting in the conservatory (which I think would be lovely in the summer) let us move into a warmer part of the hotel. Can’t wait to return .

Visited for an anniversary lunch on New Year’s Eve. Absolutely fantastic roast dinner. Best I’ve had at a hotel or restaurant for as long as I can remember. 10/10. Definitely recommend and look forward to my return. Great variety of vegetables, hot, free pour gravy, perfectly cooked food and all perfectly seasoned. Superb. Staff were lovely too (shout out to Izzy who’s going through med school. She was a great hostess). Welbeck Manor has been refurbished really well and it’s a comfortable place to simply relax and enjoy great food, good drinks and a super view.

We stayed here for a friends birthday party, so the group had 9 rooms and the party room. From early arrival to eat, to late checkout the place was excellent. The bed was so comfortable, food was great (highly recommend the burger as it’s very premium quality meat). I’d come back for the night, or to do an event anytime. Call out to all of the staff too, every single one was so polite from the cleaners to the manager. The whole party also said the same.
