Casa de Gondomil: BE A PART OF THE RIVER, BEING APART FROM IT ALL
Located half way up a hill on an agricultural property called "Quinta de Gondomil", from where it takes its name, this house is set on the right bank of the river Douro, and has an extension of almost 200 metres facing it. It is a detached house with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and a living room with a terrace which has a view over the Douro.
It is a stone built property from the 1940s and was the property owners´ home at one time, with architecture characteristic of the era and region. It was recently renovated and fitted with every commodity and comfort for rural tourism, such as central heating, a hearth, air conditioning etc.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.Tem escadas.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 30.About events:No events allowed.

Wonderful
We had a wonderful stay at Casa de Gondomil. We checked in late, but that was no problem for the owners. We were warmly welcomed! The nature is beautiful, and from the balcony, you have a stunning view of the Douro! The pool is delightful. A great place for those who love peace and quiet, and an excellent base for trips to Porto and Peso da Régua. Highly recommended!

Excellent
We spent a wonderful week in this lovely villa in August. Very well equipped and comfortable, and in a great location to explore the area - but note the roads are very windy and hilly so it can take a while to get places! The swimming pool is great with a fantastic view, and we enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the river. The owner Maria gave us some good tips on places to visit and made us very welcome. Thank you for your hospitality :)

Peaceful gem!
A little house along the Douron river, clean and a very nice pool. Very kind host couple. We enjoyed very much for four nights. Canoes were also nice to use.
