Stop......Go book your trip now, then come back and read this. Jade Mountain is perfection. The luxury ride from the airport was filled with great conversation with Donna who talked about the local culture and sights on our drive. She drove carefully and before we knew it, we were at the resort. We were upgraded to a Sun Sanctuary and it was HUGE. The pool, bed, and space was phenomenal. We did not have an issue with mosquitoes but the hotel also provided spray and candles. Our housekeeping staff was impeccable and paid attention to small details like leaving a microfiber towel for my glasses and wrapping my really long phone charger with a velcro strap. Ain, Vince, Filliner, and Carla were our major demos. All took great care of us, but Ain was with us for most of our days and he had a genuinely kind, caring personality and exemplified top notch service. The food is delectable even room service. We had breakfast everyday in our room. I highly recommend the Green Fig and Saltfish, the bakes, and the coconut bread. We also had scrambled eggs, the 60 min egg, and quinoa porridge and they were amazing. We had some lunches at the beach and they were great. Every dinner was spent at the Jade Mountain Club where Edmond and the rest of the staff were attentive and brought incredible meals. The menu changes each night and we made sure to finish with a scrumptious dessert and cocoa tea. The beaches are as perfect as other reviews have noted. Staff is ready to set up a cabana with towels for you. Need anything else? Simply put out the yellow flag and an attendant magically appears to help. We splurged on the Chef on Wheels experience because we love to cook. Chef Salvatore set up a mobile kitchen in our room and walked through how to cook a 3 course meal including ceviche, tempura shrimp, and steak. He also brought a delicious dessert for us. Ain served us to make the experience 5 star. We highly recommend the Chef on Wheels not only for great food, but the opportunity to share time with an incredible chef and learn more about the St. Lucian culture through food. I attended yoga each morning at the Celestial Terrace overlooking the pitons with Laura and Nelson. Both offered phenomenal classes that were appropriate for beginners with options for those who practice more often. The gym is small but well stocked with plenty of dumbbells, treadmills, an elliptical, an upright bike, and strength machines. The gym is air conditioned and each day I went, there was no one else there. The success of Jade Mountain is rooted in their dedicated and caring staff. We appreciate everyone behind the scenes as well from the landscapers, maintenance, laundry, and food staff who work tirelessly to maintain the beauty of the hotel and care of visitors. That coupled with incredible architecture and the pristine natural beauty of St. Lucia make this a worthwhile investment in a vacation of rest and relaxation.
