El Dorado Maroma Catamarán, Cenote & More Inclusive

I visited the El Dorado Maroma with my friend for a week in January 2023. Believe me, this is the best resort ever! I have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area, and this resort outranks all others! The service is simply amazing, from the second you arrive until you have to leave. We absolutely loved Manuel at the beach, who greeted us each morning and walked out with us to help us find the perfect spot for the day. He didn’t just hand us our towels - he laid them out for us on the loungers or the bali bed chosen, then adjusted the umbrella so we could be in the shade, as we preferred. He then continued checking on us throughout the day and adjusting our umbrella as the sun moved. Talk about being pampered! He was wonderful! We also loved Little D (Diego) at the beach, who brought us drinks and made us smile - he seems so happy to be there! I can’t forget to mention the beach - it is the best beach of any resort I have stayed at! Clean, white sand, and so few people. That’s another great thing about this resort - no crowds!! It is small, quiet and relaxing. So peaceful! If you want a party resort, this is not it. It was perfect for us! Overall, you will not be sorry if you choose this resort!!! We loved it and will return again, hopefully soon, and hopefully with my hubby next time! I can’t wait to hear those wonderful friends tell me “Welcome Home”!

This place was flat our amazing! What a gorgeous property, and it felt like we were the only people there a lot of the time. Not sure if it was a particularly less busy time but wow. We had the beds on the beach to ourselves 2 of the 3 days we laid in them! They were so proactive in asking if we needed anything it was awesome. They coordinated travel and excursions so well. Our bungalow was amazing, can't say enough how cool it is to walk through the ocean to get to your room if you want! And the food...wow. The Palafitos restaurant was the best food we have had, just about ever. The chef cooked the mahi we caught a number of ways for us one night and the ceviche' he mad was the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back.

The EDM is smaller resort with a beautiful beach and excellent staff that will go beyond and above to make your stay a memorable one. We have been to this resort at least 19 times before Covid and now this was the first time we have gone back since and we went with the idea that it will not be as good as before but we will make the most of it. We must say that we were totally wrong because this vacation turned out to be awesome . Many of the staff were old friends and many new ones we made. Our butlers Israel and Burnabie outperformed , Eli the beach butler was on point getting us setup on the beach, Renie the best bartender, Cielo for the massaged we wish we could write all the names but then it will be the whole resort staff. All food was good except for the lamb at the Palafitos and hopefully that a one time thing. Our villa was well kept and housekeeping excellent. The entertainment was not too crazy but enjoyable. We enjoyed Sweet Reggae they were entertaining. There were entertainment during the day at the main pool , volleyball, paddle boarding etc. This is the place to lay back , relax and be pampered. Exotic is way better than before. The way they took care of our benefits were better than before ,we have no complaints. This resort is an excellent choice for your relaxation. Will we be back again? Of course yes.

Beautiful all inclusive adult resort with great food and drinks. The staff were amazing and wanted you to have a great experience. Side note- we did the tour where they wanted us to become members, we declined but they sent us to another person to attempt to sell us another option and we declined. As we were leaving they tried to sell another option. We were there to relax not commit to anything else. I could have done without that, no means no. Otherwise fabulous time and we will return.

I had the best yoga class. It was so relaxing and peaceful. We did yoga in the garden, listened to frequency music, stretched, breathing, and reminded to embrace and enjoy life. She translated both Spanish/and English which made it very easy to understand!

The sessions are amazing. We have taken her classes a couple times. There is a bit stretching, yoga, and meditation. We sat in a quiet zen area and could listen to nature. She has a calming voice. She also uses vibration bowls that were relaxing sounds. She uses scents to also relax the soul.

If you’re looking for a beautiful small resort, this is your place!!! My fiancé and I visited 5/23-5/28 and stayed in a private pool suite. Every single staff member in that place is fantastic!! From the moment we arrived everyone made sure we were happy and satisfied. Our room was amazing! We had a private pool on our balcony, an outdoor shower, a huge jacuzzi inside and a super comfy king bed! A/C worked better than any place I’ve ever stayed in the tropics! We also had an espresso machine in our room, which we used every day! Let’s talk food - Caribbean grill - food was the best by far. From the starter bar with the plantains and tomatoes to the coconut cake. Amazing! All the other food was quite delicious too. Down to the room service! The beach is absolutely stunning! It’s breathtaking. They have hammocks over the water you can lay in as well. They had Bali beds and lounge chairs everywhere and the butlers made sure you had what you needed. They offer a whole bunch of free activities everyday. One day we went to see the camels that were there! I was so happy! They are such cool animals! Another night we went to the fire show and that was something that I’m so glad I went to see, those people are extremely talented and it was neat to see on the beach at night. Main pool was where we spent a lot of time just relaxing enjoying each other’s company as well as the beautiful resort and scenery. There was only a small amount of people at this resort which was really something we loved. It was like you had the place to yourself with a few other couples. I’d definitely return in the future. Cons - the private pool didn’t get much sun so we only used it the first night. The oriental dinner wasn’t good. My finance actually couldn’t eat his. We went back for room service though and issue solved. Our door was accidentally broken by the person who stocked the mini fridge, but they came and evaluated it and we weren’t missing anything and they had a maintenance man fix it within minutes. Jacuzzi - took a good 45 minutes to fill. It was worth it though :)

We absolutely love this resort, from the staff, to the beach, to the food and entertainment. It's top notch. The weather was perfect, and the pool was nice. We highly recommend this resort. Some of our favorite people: Augustine at special events Randy in Papitos Dory in Mios. Arturo in the Caribbean Grill. Daniel, Sophia, Rene, Alfredo, Betsabe are amazing and take good care of us. Our butler Bernie was fabulous this year. Also much love to Marbel, Liz and Julietta who we've had in previous years. All these are like family to us now!

We love all the El Dorado resorts and the amazing staff, but Maroma is a favorite because of the amazingly soft and beautiful beach! We just finished our second vacation there. Shout out to so many wonderful staff: Patricia and our waiter for breakfast at Lima Limon, I’m sorry we forgot his name, at the main beach bar Octavio the bartender and Karen the server who brought us endless drinks, our waitress Marlene at Mío, at Papitos Eric, Randy and Nasaim, at Caribe Arturo, and at the Mexican Fiesta Felipe and Nasaim. Our butler Bernie and concierge Emanuel were also very attentive. The cleaning staff for our room were amazing. And our limo ride to the airport by Alberto and the help at the airport from Isai was invaluable. Can’t wait to go back next year!!!
