카사 크리스티나(Casa Cristina)

Very, very central. Great hosts. Very good value for money but basic, especially breakfast. Single use plastic cups at breakfast rather than glasses, so bad for the environment. The breakfast has tiny, tiny portions and the meat is mixed with the cheese and olives, so bad for vegetarians. There are so small chocolates and cake, plus some cheap bread and jam. Skip breakfast and go to Borderi / a cafe instead. The bed is comfy but very bouncy so not great if you partner moves a lot in the night.

A block from the bridge to mainland Sircusa, next door but two to the Temple of Apollo, Casa Cristina has a perfect location. You can easily walk from the railway station, the castle at the far tip of Ortigia, and the archaeological park of ancient Syracuse. Ten minutes walk from the Cathedral, which was originally built as a temple in the 5th century BC. The room was comfortable, and breakfast was done well. There is no refrigerator in the room, but you get your own shelf in the refrigerator in the kitchen, which amounts to the same thing. The host was very pleasant and helpful. Look no further.

Wonderful b&b in the heart of Ortigia. Our room had a view over the Temple of Apollo! Very friendly owner who takes good care of you. It's an old building in the cemetery of town so there is some street noise at night, as you'd expect. To us, it was worth it for the unbeatable location.

This B&B has a great central location at the beginning of the Ortigia island, in a nice building, on the top floor. Our deluxe room with 2 balconies was facing the temple of Apollo and had a partial sea view. The room was spacious with a beautifully decorated ceiling and had a renovated bathroom. At night, you can hear the street noise. Breakfast was more than basic and if you are not the first, there is nothing left to eat. The presence from the owners is minimal but they are courteous.

Cosa dire..... Proprietari squisiti che hanno reso un week end bellissimo e che ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. Da subito il Signor Sergio è stato più che disponibile ad ogni nostra esigenza e un perfetto Padrone di casa, insieme alla moglie. Stanza grande e accogliente che si affaccia sul Tempio di Apollo, sita in centro e quindi tutti i servizi a portata di mano! Già uscendo dal b&b si trova di tutto: dalla farmacia subito alla sinistra, un pub subito alla destra e nemmeno a 3 minuti dal supermercato e tabacchi. Colazione abbandonante e genuina come ad esempio la torta fatta in casa, buonissima!, non mancava nulla per tutti i tipi di palati, dal salato al dolce e alla frutta. Servizio di pulizia in stanza quotidiano e quindi la stanza sempre pulita e fresca. Un fatto che distingue la Signorilità di Sergio e che io e la mia compagna siamo rimasti a piedi in quanto la batteria dell'auto era scarica, ho chiamato il Signor Sergio e ci ha aiutato incondizionatamente. Esperienza bellissima che non vediamo l'ora di rivivere. Altamente consigliato in qualunque periodo dell'anno.

Apprezzato molto il panorama. Comodità nel raggiungere sia i posti più belli di Ortigia sia la fermata dell'autobus. Il signore che ci ha accolto molto gentile, ci ha dato indicazioni sui luoghi da visitare

Se cercate qualcosa di informale per visitare Ortigia, questo è quello che fa per voi. Centralissimo si gode una vista spettacolare nella storia di 2000 anni fa, il tutto condito da gentilezza e cortesia del proprietario sempre disponibile e premuroso nei confronti dei clienti. A due passi da tutto abbiamo trascorso 3 giorni immersi nella bellezza di Siracusa e della bellissima isola di Ortigia.

Il sig. Sergio (così mi sembra sia il suo nome) accoglie gli ospiti con garbo e gentilezza non comuni. Si sta davvero bene sotto tutti gli aspetti. Il nostro soggiorno è stato piacevolissimo ... e poi Ortigia riserva sempre nuove emozioni. Guido & Anna
