Hotel Kailas

The location of property is excellent, as its very close to ellora caves and grishneshwar temple, as well. Needs maintenance and upgradation of facilities very badly. Lizards, mosquitos, cockroaches are there in rooms.

Hotel is good also centrally located, just adjacent to ellora caves, cave view rooms has best views.

Average stay, food was not up to our expectation. Room view was excellent but maintenance of bathroom could be have been more.

Property location- great. Within 10 minutes walking distance from grishneshwar jyotirling and 3 minutes from ellora caves. Amenities- nice big green park, children play area, restaurant, parking, mountain view seating and play area. Food- average quality and limited options. Service and staff- good.

The only plus point in this property is its location. Washroom are very shabby. We booked a room for 3 adults and 1 kid but the twin bed provided was too small had to pay extra for mattress.

The location of the hotel is excellent and allows you to plan your day very flexibly. We stayed in the cave facing cottages which are spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit dirty though and needed to be cleaned up before it can be used. Also, seems like they've provided personal numbers of staff on mmt. We had reached the hotel late and we needed something at 11 pm. When i called the number, the staff who answered were off duty and had to ask me to call a different number. Other than that, the staff was helpful and courteous.

Pros 1. Lots of open and green space 2. Proximity to the temple and caves cons 1. Terrible mattresses- gave all of us back pain 2. No proper toiletries 3. Dirty washrooms 4. No hot water

The location of the hotel is amazing. The view from our cottage was straight that of ellora caves. The location is a gold mine. However the upkeep of the hotel is terrible. They are living in 1070's maintaining a register for check in and room linen and furniture can easily be compared to a 2 star property. Nothing is clean in the hotel and you might have to clean the chairs yourself. It's definitely not value for money but location is outstanding.

Our cottage was large but dated with very basic bathroom. Room was not cleaned between our two nights. We only saw two cockroaches in our month in India and both of them were in this room! Very good restaurant, nice gardens and superb location.
