Very nice resort for short holiday , nice beach and view

We have just left a four nights stay at the Royal Andalus, and we’re very satisfied with our stay. We travelled in the off season, so the hotel was quite quiet aside from some large golf groups. There was nobody at the pool, or on any of the numerous lounge chairs. We had a family room which consisted of a separate sleeping area for the kids with two beds and it’s own tv, and we had an additional cot in our room, so it could have slept five (though we were a family of four) We found the beds very comfortable, the rooms and surroundings were clean and in good repair. Food was quite tasty, though we prefer home cooked meals so did find the buffet a bit tiring after a while. Lots of fresh fruit options, and a great salad bar though. The wifi was beyond belief! We don’t even have as good wifi on our fibre optic line at home. I wouldnt hesitate to tell any work traveller to go here for a workcation. Drinks were fine, though very sweet for my taste. Water was lovely, fresh, clean and plentiful. We always felt extremely safe; very different from travelling to Jamaica or Mexico. We spent the majority of our days walking the stunning, long, sugar sand beach and playing in the impressive surf. We would absolutely return to this resort any time, and would highly suggest it to friends and family.

We have been coming to this hotel for the past 4 years, we had a lovely time at our favourite hotel in the Sancti petri area. The staff were very welcoming as always, big thanks to Estrada and Marin for making our stay that extra special with top quality service. We will be coming again next year!

This could be a really nice hotel with a few improvements. My 3-star rating is actually based on few but important things I found unsatisfying. First of all, noise is a theme here. If you get a room near the large lobby area, you will need a good heart for sleeping, otherwise you will find it pretty hard to rest. I got one the first night, and had very little sleep. The problem is loud music from the lobby or talking and noisy walking in the hallways. After the first night in this room I got another room far from the lobby and bar, and it helped. However talking in neighbouring rooms is heard through the overy thin walls. What should be done? New soundproof doors from the rooms to the hallway and sound insulation between the rooms. The second ting that needs improvement is entrance to the restaurant, where you have show your little tag you get around your arm wrist. This little control by the entrance can create a very long line of people trying to get something to eat. On the good side is the food in the large buffet restaurant. The food is really excellent and this is the biggest asset of the hotel. Furthermore service from the staff is fine. Would I want to return? Presumably not, but likely if I knew I could have a quiet room.

Renovated and tastefully decorated hotel. Lovely suite with side views, not sure why bathrooms don't have a main door anymore, but that's style I suppose. Food was OK, but very overcrowded restaurant which unexplainable had an area closed. Restaurant staff were quick and polite. Couple travelling with us changed room 3 times due to privacy and views.Reception staff helped as best they could, but could have done better. Tip: use their interactive map to check location of room before you book it. Excellent location for a fabulous beach.

Myself and a group of ladies visit every April on golf trip. We are generally very pleased with everything in the hotel but unfortunately I felt some standards are dropping. This year there was NO air conditioning in the bedrooms and we asked several times at reception and was told they would look into it but no air conditioning was turned on. We found out later it's only switched on when temperature reaches 25° so the bedrooms were too warm for sleeping. I also felt the food was quite basic and not as much variety as previous years. Buffet style with all meals so you don't get to relax much at the table, up and down to serve yourself. You have to pay for safe €3 per day and thought this very unusual as usually free in every hotel I have stayed in. Deposit required for use of iron also (just in case you decide to bring home). Entertainment was hit and miss, acoustic night not great and guitar another flop. Nobody got up to dance on these nights so it was early to bed. Bring back ABBA and similar bands. On the plus side, lovely location, on a beautiful beach, very clean and spatious overall.

Would not stay here again ever. 45 minutes to get us checked in. Then the wristbands for breakfast in the morning wouldn’t work and had to make new ones which the gentleman dropped off at 1 AM and I had to wake up my other roommates to remove their bracelets from the wrist and hand them personally to the staff member. I found this highly insensitive as we were only staying the night and had got in late and we’re looking forward to rest. the garage door to parking was difficult to open and actually had to get out of the car and manually push it open to get in and get out of the hotel. The bedroom is highly uncomfortable, very hot and couldn’t get it to cool down and there was little in the way of comfortable sitting space as well as the bed situation for three people was very odd with one of the beds being placed almost in a room that resembled a closet. Very unhappy and all this joy for merely €180 stated a lovely hotel down the street on the way to Gibraltar which gave a much more robust customer service experience for mirror €85.
