Had a lovely meal at The Punchbowl. Meals were well cooked, well presented and delicious. Generous portions. The choice of meals and drinks is very good. Staff were very friendly and isn’t rush us as all, even though they were closing by the time we left. Would definitely revisit and recommend.

Delightful little hotel to stay at. I can't fault this lovely hotel or the family who own it as they were just lovely. Our room was sparkling clean, incredibly comfortable and very peaceful. The family and staff were very happy to help if needed and were extremely pleasant and sweet. The food both for dinner and breakfast was delicious and perfectly cooked and presented. We would recommend anyone looking to stay in Woodstock to stay here, we certainly will stay at The Punchbowl again.

I noticed the Punchbowl had two pages so I have copied my review, I didn’t want it to be missed. We stayed at the Punchbowl for a quick getaway after a few hard weeks at work and we loved it. The rooms were comfortable, stylish and clearly well maintained by the owners who could not have been more welcoming. We also ate in the restaurant and had a couple of drinks in the bar too, great selection of drinks and food and the food was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble throughout our whole stay and I know I am not fussy food wise so I am so grateful to all of the team. Will definitely visit again and highly recommended.

Spotlessly clean rooms in heart of Woodstock. Easy bus ride to Oxford city centre and walking distance to Blenheim Palace. Staff friendly and quick to rectify any issues raised. Food was great too. Comfortable and relaxing break within easy reach of all amenities.

The Punchbowl is our absolute favourite place to stay and to enjoy the perfect food that is always produced there. The whole experience is always perfection when we stay. The meals are always seasoned and well presented with good portion sizes. The a**osphere is warm, inviting and friendly. Customers who state there is no a**osphere must have had their eyes shut and hands on their ears not to notice, as this is totally untrue! Our room was absolutely spotless, I told the lady who cleans the rooms how very good she was, as at times we take people in the background for granted. As stated on the receipt all the tips go to staff in the kitchen, bar, waiting and housekeeping, not the bosses. This is most kind and thoughtful of the bosses as in the hospitality business this is very often not the case where tips are involved. Caroline & Les Please try for yourself it’s the only way

Great to be back , it's been along time since we're here , and it has not changed , still a very warm welcome, we sat down at a table and were made to feel like a valued customer, we ordered Whitebait,Panko Prawns,for starters Fish Pie ,and Scampi all was cooked to perfection, for dessert we had the cheesecake this is a speciality of the house, and you will not find a better cheesecake, on the Sunday we had the Roast beef, every thing was very well cooked and tasty, for dessert we when for sticky toffee and custard ,lemon meringue tart, as well as the great food, the room was absolutely amazing, a very comfortable bed good size bathroom the room had everything you needed, can't wait o go back again, the only thing i don't like about this place is leaving,

The Punch Bowl is a lovely old village pub, full of individual character and charm. Really welcoming and friendly staff, nice old bar, great food. It's right in the middle of Woodstock village, and just over the road from Marlborough Palace and grounds.

Popped into one of our favourite restaurants for a lunchtime treat. And what a treat. The best sausage, egg and chips I have ever had. How do they get simple things to taste soooo good. Dessert of lemon meringue tart tasted as good as it looked. Nothing is too much trouble for owners and staff and as always we were made to feel special. Just a pity we live so far away

We popped in for a drink after a day at Blenheim. The staff were so welcoming and after checking the food menu out, we decided to book for dinner. Sasha managed to fit us in at fairly short notice. The menu has many options to suit all tastes. Our starters of Halloumi Fries & Satay Chicken were both delicious. For mains, my Husband opted for the Rump steak, which he said was excellent for a Rump. I had the Lamb Kofte Kebab which was absolutely fantastic!! I'd return just to eat that again! All the staff were wonderful. Overall we were impressed and would definitely return if we visit Woodstock again.
