버스타 하우스 호텔(Busta House Hotel)

We spent 5 nights at Busta House, chosen because of the many positive TA reviews. On touring the island it became clear that this was a sound decision, Shetland lacking attractive accommodation options. We had a spacious rectangular room curiously with a double bed at each end. It had old fashioned/period furniture, a comfortable bed and best of all a great view of the garden, little harbour, sea and hills. The bathroom was functional and modern. We enjoyed the good breakfast, smoked haddock and kippers were especially tasty. Dinner was fine with some dishes changing daily. Service was consistently friendly, obliging and efficient. The wifi worked and there’s ample car parking.

Very welcoming - member of staff carried our suitcase down steps & to our room. Lovely helpful/happy staff & great food choice. Hotel a little ‘tired’ but very comfortable. Great location to explore The Shetlands. Would recommend this hotel

Very nice hotel set in a previous Manor House, lot of history in that building! The rooms are excellent, very clean and spacious, beds are comfortable. There is a working TV, plenty of storage space in the room, bottled water and toiletries every day. Would definitely recommend for a family holiday, dogs allowed too

We have stayed in Busta House several times over the last six years; each stay has been excellent, but last night was the best yet. We stayed in the recently revovated room `Vaila`which in my opinion can only be described as spectacular. The welcome, service, meals and drinks were, as ever, second to none and excellent value for money. Once again, a big `Thank You`to Grant and his terrific team. A warm welcome, and shown to our room. This is fairly essential due to the layout of the hotel from it's original days as a lairds residence. No problem to find after that! The room (Foula) was one on the upgraded ones and as such was excellent, with both a large walk-in shower, and the deepest bath I have ever seen! Toiletries were provided. The room was very comfortable and cosy. The restaurant food was excellent as usual - we had chicken liver pate and poached pear for starters and tagliatelle and salmon for our mains. A house white (sauvignon blanc) washed everything down nicely. Unfortunately we were so stuffed we couldn't manage a sweet - from experience their home-made cheesecakes are to die for! Always a great stay at Busta!

Lovely building however it is pretty rundown inside as you come in the main door, when we entered the paint was falling off the walls and as it was raining the toilet at the door was leaking really badly. Food was ok but the menu is the exact same as we had last year, an updated menu would be nice. We sat in the long room for a while before we left however it was freezing we had to put our coats on. One of our party was staying so we saw the room and it was lovely.

Our tour party was only booked in for lunch at this remote Shetland location. We received a very warm welcome and the food, drinks and service were excellent. The building is very old and whilst there we had the opportunity to experience some of the cosy public areas. Our short visit would encourage us to stay at this hotel, if requiring accommodation in the area in the future

I really enjoyed my stay at Busta House Hotel. The room was warm and comfortable and I had a view of the sea over the garden. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. My inbound flight was delayed so they made me a sandwich as I missed the dinner service and didn't turn up until 11pm at night! They have an very impressive whisky range so I am hoping to go back and sample some more!

Had our Christmas night away at Busta. We had fantastic night. The food is always perfect. Grant, Joel and all their team provide the best service. Nothing is too much trouble. The service is professional and friendly. Would recommend bedrooms Foula and Linga. Both have recently renovated and are stunning. There is something special about cosying up with either a warm drink or a dram un the long room in rhe afternoon and after dinner.
