We stayed for 2n in The Potting Shed and not disappointed. It was clean, comfortable with a lovely walk-in shower. A fantastic breakfast choice of fresh fruit, yoghurt and seeds plus cooked options and pastries. The staff were very welcoming & friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

We stayed at The Eastbury for one night in a Victorian Garden Suite. The suite was spacious and very comfortable with extra pillows and blankets if needed. The bathroom was large with a walk in shower, lovely toiletries, luxurious towels and flannels. The room had tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk kept in the fridge, and complimentary shots of sloe gin. Breakfast was plentiful with a help yourself selection of cereals, fresh fruits, yogurts, juices, pastries and toast along with various cooked options. The hotel has comfortable lounge areas and a billiard table room. During our stay the bar was not open but we could order drinks to have in the lounge or our room. Very pleased with our stay at TEH. All the staff were very pleasant and very helpful.

Unfortunately their website does not match the reality in our experience. This is by no means a 5* Hotel, to start with the restaurant is not open for evening meals. the bar was never open ,so my understanding of this means it should be a B&B. The breakfast room was very old style but also grubby , crumbs left on floor from day before etc. Also Leppard print carpet!!. Dogs also allowed in at breakfast. The breakfast itself is quite basic this includes the buffet. There was a drain smell in the reception area that I reported and only got the response of I can't smell anything must be used to it !!!. Reception is only manned until 20.00/21.00 then no staff at all on site. The room was very over priced, and the cleanliness very poor basics were not done. Our room was not serviced when I asked if it could be at 14.00 I was informed no as the housekeeping had gone home !! The receptionist added that the please clean my room sign had fallen off the door. Honestly I was lost for words. The one positive about here is the beautiful gardens. Please be warned it is not as good as you are made to believe.

Great location right in the centre walking distance to the wonderful unique shops in Sherborne with its own parking. Room was spacious and very comfortable (a little hot but it was a mild spell in March). We had fun playing snooker and the other lounges looked well stocked with games and books. We booked the spa for an exclusive hour, a very quirky hobbit house with outside tub, indoor hydro and jacuzzi shower. Unfthe steam room was out of order but it was reflected in the price. Lots of good recommendations for evening meals and we chose The Green which was incredible. Breakfast was perfect, lots of choice and delicious. Great treat in a lovely town.

We had a 2 night 'Winter Getaway' at The Eastbury and had a most enjoyable stay. Our room was spacious, warm and very comfortable. We particularly appreciated the 2 armchairs and coffee table - ideal for enjoying our bubbles and chocolates! Breakfasts were fantastic, a great choice and really delicious, well cooked food. The hotel is very well located for a flat stroll into the town centre and Sherborne itself is a great place to explore - we particularly recommend 'The Sherborne' (Art Centre with an excellent restaurant) and Sherborne Abbey.

What a lovely hotel! It's being sold, so I hope it continues as a great spot. We had a room in the garden, with its own tiny courtyard and fire-pit. The spa was fully booked, so we couldn't try. Next time we would ring ahead to check this before booking. It's in a very good location to explore Sherborne.
