오나스 다이브 클럽(Oonas Dive Club)

Another fabulous stay with the great team at Oonas. Diving was exceptional as always, guided by the brilliant Hassan this time. The entire dive (and hotel) operation is run very smoothly by Karen, with Anita, Pete, Hassan and the full team in the dive centre. Everything went like clockwork. Hotel is as advertised, being comfortable, clean, and importantly, very safe. It isn't a 5 Star hotel, but doesn't claim to be. It ticks all the boxes for me. Breakfast, dinner and drinks at the hotel restaurant / bar is always a nice relaxed affair. Can't wait to go back later this year.

This was our first stay here obviously I wanted to stay with a decent center. I can say that every single email sent prior to coming out was answered fully and honestly, Karen was so easy to deal with, took time to make us feel welcome, the hotel reception we’re brilliant, the restaurant staff were superb, food excellent and all the boat crew just so helpful. Our dive guides were brilliant, kind friendly and didn’t get annoyed with myself or my son when we made mistakes, they were just brilliant. A lot of our fellow divers had been holidaying with oonas for many years and although it was our first time everyone mucks in together and looks out for each other. I can’t thank karen and Peter enough, just lovely lovely people who made sure our holiday was as good as they could make it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I spent a very pleasant week at Oonas Dive Club from 8 to 15 October 2023. I have been there many times before. Three dives a day are available from the splendid Club boat, which glories in the name of OBI WAN. The boat's captain and crew are superb; the dive guides highly professional and unfailingly helpful. One leaves the very well managed Dive Centre by minibus at about 8am, returning around 5pm. Luncheon is available on the boat, and very good it is too! Oonas provides accommodation, food and drink of a good standard at the Club, with the staff being friendly and efficient. One's fellow divers are an eclectic bunch who make for interesting company. While most are from the United Kingdom, other nationalities add flavour to the mix. Age and experience range widely and everyone gets on commendably well. My only slightly negative comment concerns the noise of outdoor entertainment from about 9pm to midnight, provided by an entirely separate establishment about 200 metres away. But I am an ancient diver who is a light sleeper and goes to bed early. Younger folk may well enjoy such excitements and, of course, item three of the dive/eat/sleep routine on the boat can compensate for any deficit. In short, if you want shore-based day-boat diving in Egypt, you cannot get better than wonderful Oonas!

The Oonas hotel is basic but perfect when diving. Breakfast have been the same since i first came here in 2017. Ive heard the menu have stayed the same even before that... but why change a winning concept. The food here is actually quite good, healthy and not that pricy. Diving with Oonas is a calm and relaxed experience with a great focus on reef safe diving.

Diving is competitively priced and the operation professionally run. The boat is great and the crew are friendly and attentive. The coral reefs, off the charts pristine. The B&B is managed separately and has a great restaurant with a wide variety of options at very reasonable prices. Don't miss beer o'clock after hot day on the water! Tucked away behind a 10 minute walk to naama Bay, if you're looking for a luxury hotel, this isn't it. What this hotel does offer, however, is a great location, particularly around the end of the year where the weather is conducive enough for walking around and exploring. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. Food in the restaurant is not great but I wouldn't let that put you off as there are plenty of places to eat around the area within walking distance. We stayed in the family room which was very spacious (2 bedrooms) but massively outdated and in need of renovation. There are fantastic guides at this hotel to also assist you on diving, which is what the hotel is most commonly known for. The private beach to this hotel was also very clean and secluded with just a stones throw away from any other beach-type activities (paragliding, snorkeling, paddle boats etc). We stayed at an all inclusive recently and this hotel based on its cleanliness, location and customer service far surpasses that.

From the first e-mail to the last good bye what a great outfit and experience. Karen and Pete are an awesome team and not to mention the very helpful, professional, happy and friendly staff at the dive shop and on the dive boat. I'd definitely recommend diving with Oonas.

Very nice staff. Very low key, low stress. Right on the beach with the cutest tropical fish. Walkway along beach to shops restaurants and tourist things. Good breakfast included. Nice room with balcony overlooking the ocean. Really enjoyed my three days there. Absolutely gorgeous town, a must see.
