마이 타이 리조트(Mai Tai Resort)

A special gem in the top of the rainforest. I had a restful and peaceful stay there while in deployment working at Mossman. The place is very well looked after and you can feel the and care devoted to it. You feel immersed in the rainforest and have astonishing views to mountains and ocean. Lovely private breakfast table with tropical fruits and warm croissants. Andre’s hospitality is one of a kind. If you need quiet and tranquil, I am sure you can find it there. Very short drive from Mossman and Port Douglas, easy to get to shops, restaurants and touristic spots if you wish. Super recommend this place!

Mai Tai Resort is absolutely stunning, Andre and his sister's hospitality deserves 10 stars and we had the most wonderful holiday. We hired a car (essential) in Cairns and drove up to Port Douglas, stayed at Mai Tai for five nights and spent our days exploring the area. The resort is not really far from the town but far enough to be private and secluded. The views are amazing and the small number of guests means it is always quiet and peaceful. Andre provided delicious breakfasts and made sure our stay was perfect. Our room was comfortable, clean and well-serviced. The pool was also lovely, and we had it to ourselves every time we swam! And for dog lovers, there is a pair of very friendly Blue Heelers (Skye and Summer) that love pats and scratches. Also prior to the holiday I contacted Andre, he recommended and booked for us two fantastic day tours (Wavelength Reef Cruise and Daintree Safaris). I would absolutely stay at Mai Tai again and 100% recommend it.

We had last minute cancellations due to road closures inside Daintree so my partner and I were so lucky to have found Mai Tai resort and were able to book this beautiful property the day of our arrival. The grounds, the view and the rooms were all spectacular but what really puts this property above the rest is the friendly service and attention to detail by the owner Andre. He is the purest of souls and really goes out of his way to ensure his guests are taken care of! He does it all with a bit of help from his two friendly dogs as well. This was the perfect venture right outside of Daintree and a stones throw away from Mossman and Port Douglas. Highly recommended and make sure to take advantage of Andre’s wonderful breakfast full of assorted fresh fruits over overlooking a million dollar view!

Amazing 3 nights at Mai Tai. Host Andre was just perfect. The entire resort is so beautifully kept, breakfasts were amazing with beautiful views. Rooms were impeccable with all the comforts and more, we loved the complete privacy of each room. Loved the quietness. Loved the outside shower. Swimming pool stunning. Can't rate the place highly enough, we left feeling rested and refreshed for the year ahead. Highly recommend and hope to return someday.

The resort is situated on a hillside with an amazing view over Daintree Forrest. If you stay in the orchid suite then you have a garden with a view over this beautiful area. It’s calm and you hear birds chirping from early morning to late evening. The room we had was big. You fit two people with suitcases easily. Very beautiful and romantic decorated room with a comfortable bed, also romantically decorated. You have a fan that is perfectly located so it’s giving fresh wind on your legs more that’s on the head (we liked that). You also have aircon if you need. You will need a car to stay here. By car it’s 15 min down to Port Douglas where you find lots of restaurants and bars. Andre will give you recommendations for where to eat. Andre also makes the best breakfast with different fruits, toast, yaourt, jam, cereals and more all tasting really good. You also can enjoy the swimming pool with the same view over the Forrest. Bring a beer from the minibar and take a swim and then enjoy your beer in the very nice lounge bed beside the pool. This place is not by the beach but had a perfect location for those who loves a quiet place that has everything for a romantic stay with a loved one. We would recommend this place to all of you who appreciate small romantic and nice details in the room and in the place where you stay. And that likes to have a more personal feeling of the service you can get. Andre helps you to plan your days with snorkelling, guided tours etc. All with local peop

Magical!! If your dear friend had a lovely home with amazing views in the Australian rainforest and invited you to stay....That is the MaiTai. Andre is a wonderful host, bested only by his two very well beaved Australian catte dogs Skye and Summer. The property is fantastic; beds are comfortable, rooms are spotless and the pool and views are to die for. The secret sauce is the personal touch of the host. Andre is full of great advice and tips about where to go and what to do not to mention a knd, smart and thoughful human. We hope to meet again. Highly recommend.

What a fabulous few days we have just had staying at Mai Tai! Glorious views from the pool, our room and the breakfast deck looking out towards the coral sea, farmland and the tropical forest. Our host Andre provided a highly organised but laid back a**osphere that was so relaxing. He had all the information we needed for excursions and the breakfast was delicious! The whole place was so calm and peaceful and of course the Balinese décor was wonderful. Terrific for bird watchers! I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

WOW, Just WOW, there is no words that can explain this place. pure privacy bliss heaven. Mai Tai is simply the best relaxation place we have ever stayed at. You do have options for tours and places to go around but we simply wanted to stay and enjoy our privacy in the resort. Their is no restaurant but the breakfast that is served up by Andre is by far better than you will get at any restaurant for breakfast. André is a amazing host, friendly and extremely accommodating to your needs and requests. Remember its about a 10-15 min drive from a Woolworths. so take some snacks and water etc for the room if you plan on staying in. The fact that it is a small boutique resort is so accommodating to spend that weekend away with your loved one or a close group of friends. We only stayed here for 2 nights and over a weekend for a quick getaway. in this time there is only 1 negative that I can write is that we had to leave and go back home. A highly recommended resort and would stay here time and time again.
