마다레스 호텔(Madares Hotel)

Bloody awful and expensive. 9euros for a tzatziki and water. No care to give a detail of the bill. No care to provide explanation on the prices and no bother to speak English. While I was waiting someone returned a key because their room was not clean. Bad!

The shower was cold the room was grubby & the towels were rock & had yellow stains on them. We booked for 2 nights but left after the 1st night

Great location, and fantastic staff. They could not have been nicer. Special praise has to go to "Ali" who went out of his way to make us feel like celebrities because we've visited before !! Thank-you, I'm smiling at the memory. The rooms have great sea views and balconies, with air con. They are a little tired and for a small amount of money could be made much nicer - add shower curtains and hook for the shower head. provide some coat hangers ..... nothing that spoiled our stay, just some suggestions.

Very friendly people who work there . Good and fast service when we needed something to the room.(towels,sheet etc .) Nice and clean room.

We spent two night at the Hotel, we were a couple with two children and we enjoyed a fantastic terrace with an unique view on the Loutro bay and the sea, you have the opportunity to wake up surrounded by sun and in the night you can appreciate a sky with countless stars. Yes the room is very basic, but still is very romantic with the wooden ceiling. The personal of the hotel is friendly and helpful and make you immediately feel at ease. We also had a dinner at the restaurant and it was absolutely delicious. The hotel for us was really a winning choice in spending some time in Loutro.

Beautiful seaview but the room was dirty: the bathroom has been not cleaned (the sink was full of spatters of toothpaste) and the toilet was broken. In the bedside table, on the sofa and on the floor I found hair. The pillows were uncomfortable. There were too many stairs to reach the room. Terrace was not cured. We are very sorry to leave this bad review but we paid 60 € for not having proper service. We hope our complaints will help you improve.

Simple clean room with great view.

My friends and I only spent 2 nights. The room was not the best in regards of cleaningless and the single beds were not very comfortable. The staff seemed nice and the view from the terrace was beautiful.

This hotel was such a disappoin**ent as Loutro is such a beautiful part of Crete. The bed configuration we requested wasn't fulfilled which was the overwhelming problem but there were so many little errors/lack of attention to detail. There was no kettle but 1 cup & a spoon. The "white" towels were grey & like sandpaper, the bath mat looked like it had been chewed by a puppy. The balcony was shared with 2 other rooms which hadn't been made clear, there were no sun umbrellas in the bases which were needed as it was in full sun. We were asked by the young man that had checked us in, we assumed the son of the family that owns the property (he was the only polite member of staff and the only one that spoke english) if everything was ok so I told him actually it wasn't & the main problem was the bed configuration. He went out of his way to try & put this right but it was quite clear form the shouting and body language from his parents that they weren't happy with this. We were shown to another room that was made up in a hurry, sheets and towels were literally thrown on to the beds by the woman in charge in a most rude manner. The 2nd room was no cleaner or smarter but appeared to be the "luxury" room as there were paper slipper on the bed! This time there was a kettle but no cups, cobwebs & dead insects and very run down. It was literally like arriving at the Greek Fawlty Towers! We had booked & pre-paid for 2 nights but we left after one!
