더 굴드 호텔(The Gould Hotel)

Excellent throughout, although not perfect. The bathroom could have been better. It had no hooks for clothes or horizontal surfaces for cosmetics. The floor was cold. The shower floor was not anti-skid, and there were no hand rails. The shower water control was located such that your arm was sprayed with cold water as it was tuned on.

The Gould Hotel is a gem in a quaint little town. This was our second stay. The price is very reasonable and you are downtown to walk places easily. The rooms have been updated, mattresses comfortable and the bar/restaurant service is very good and convenient. Just cold breakfast but included. The coffee at the restaurant is terrible-so drink alternative or use the Keurig in the room.

The property was as described and we were happy we stayed at the Gould. However, at this time of the year there was very little open in the area. The hotel itself was extremely quiet so we passed on meals because we did not want to be the only ones dining. Our room was fine but a comfortable chair would have been nice. Only one chair ( folding) was in the room which meant sitting on the bed. Also, the microwave did not work. Again, generally The Gould met our expectations.

We’ve stayed here a number of times and love it. Our room was fantastic, but my only criticism would be the water pressure in the shower is terrible. The food in the restaurant is excellent, but the bar staff doesn’t onow what they’re doing. Ordered a *****ni and the head bartender, who was training a new hire, proceeded to give me a shaken *****ni topped with club soda. The Campari was full of fruit flies, as was my drink. Bar/restaurant are not part of the hotel.

Beautiful property. Would have given the staff 4 stars but I did not appreciate the call at 11:01 am stating we needed to leave by 11 when we were almost out the door. Tasteless

Love the hotel and staff as always! It may be time for a mattress upgrade as the bed was not very comfortable and seemed to sink in the middle.

Was a good stay. The evening staff told us there was breakfast in the morning, we went down for it to be told that they DonMt do breakfast when the hotel is quiet.

Always an enjoyable stay at the Gould. I stay here when seeing shows at Del Lago, as it is more affordable and has several family owned restaurants in the neighborhood. There is a nice walking trail down the road, a canal and rich history to explore.

We came from Virginia for our daughter to tour and stay over night at Wells College . The Gould was easy to book , check in was smooth and very informative. The room was everything we expected and for a historical building very modern and nicely decorated. The rooms and hotel in itself was very clean thank you housekeeping!!!! The food and service and the dining room was fantastic and the a**osphere was amazing! Everyone was very kind, welcoming and had great hospitality. If our child chooses Wells we are sure to return!!! We highly recommend for a weekend getaway in a small beautiful town!
